Perak PKR claims to have proof Umno using money politics

Dr Lee Boon Chye, the Perak state deputy chief of PKR (Parti Keadilan Rakyat) claimed that the party has proof the Umno is using money politics to try and entice the PKR members of the state assembly to defect as well as to publicly condemn the Pakatan Rakyat. This he said is to help to boost the chances of the BN to win the by-election of Hulu Selangor.

Dr Lee said “Umno is offering each PKR member between RM1,000 to RM1,500 for each appearance at the BN ceremahs being organised in Hulu Selangor to read out texts prepared by BN condemning Parti Keadilan. Umno's aim is to portray a party that is collapsing from massive defections to discourage the Hulu Selangor electorate from voting for PKR candidate Datuk Zaid Ibrahim.” He claims that the he has concrete proof in the likes of recorded mobile conversations who are former Tanjung Malim division wanita chief Soraya Sulaiman, Bagan Serai member Roshanita Mohd Basir and her husband Sazali.
