RON97 up 10 sen/L at midnight

The price of RON97 petrol will be increased by 10 sen to RM2.50 effective midnight, according to industry sources.

The price of the premium fuel was last raised on January 4, also by 10 sen.

The government announced on July 16 last year that the price of RON97 will be subjected to a managed float to reflect the price of oil on the global market.

The latest increase will, however, not affect other fuels.

The base grade RON95 petrol remains at RM1.90 per litre, diesel at RM1.80 per litre, and LPG at RM1.90 per kg. The government currently subsidises 30 sen of the RON 95 fuel cost.

The Najib administration has opted to gradually slash subsidies as a way to reduce government deficit.

The government’s Performance Management and Delivery Unit (Pemandu) had said last year that savings from fuel subsidy cuts amounted to about RM3 billion last year. This number will rise to RM14 billion this year, RM21 billion in 2012, RM29.5 billion in 2013, and RM35 billion in 2014.

Now you have confirmed that I was right during election 2008 to vote for ABN(Anything but BN). Keep doing it! Many more will be vindicated!

this is real transformation- high inflation, high crime rate, high unemployment, poor business opportunities n rampant corruption. Is malaysia a failed nation?little nation building process but too much hypocricy n rhetoric yet malaysians cant seem to see through all these lies.malaysians are indeed a forgiving lot

why is there an increase when recent studies shows no fuel price increase in terms of ringgit .. fuel price increase by 12% last year and RM appreciates by 11% .. so the increase is so minimal but yet the increase. I wonder since RON97 is not subsidize, who made all these "profits" then

Tenang win shows Johor still BN stronghold

Datuk Abdul Ghani Othman, the Mentri Besar of Johor who was the elections director for the BN (Barisan Nasional) for the by-election of Tenang over the weekend said that the win over Pakatan Rakyat showed that the state is still a stronghold for the ruling government and that it remains as a fortress for BN. He also said that with the win, the support for BN will continue to grow stronger.

He said “BN’s victory has proved that Johor remains a BN fortress. The result showed that BN’s status in the state and support for BN has continued to increase. This is a good win because it has stamped BN’s strength in a state assembly seat that has only 14,000-odd voters,” Meanwhile, Datuk KS Balakrishnan, the chairman of Johor MIC said “The win for BN showed a high percentage of Indian voters supported the ruling coalition. The result also shows that the 1 Malaysia concept introduced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak has been well accepted because more than 80 per cent Indians voted in favour of BN,”

They knew they were going to win, so that's the only reason they didn't stop or postpone the elections...Its so obvious....No where in the world you will find polling stations open during floods....like I always say WELCOME TO MALAYSIA.....

Good that Chinese votes back with BN – Soi Lek

The president of MCA, Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek said that he is happy with BN (Barisan Nasional)’s win at the by-election of Tenang and because the Chinese votes had marginally swung back to the ruling coalition. He said that this showed that the people in Tenang had rejected the Islamic state’s idea proposed by PAS and that it was not true that the Pakatan Rakyath had successfully made inroads into Johor.

He said “The DAP said we were silly to think we could win by playing up this issue. BN’s victory in Tenang is also an endorsement of the 1 Malaysia concept and ETP (Economic Transformation Programme) of the prime minister (Datuk Seri Najib Razak). I thank the voters in Tenang for their support for BN. The opposition has failed to reduce the majority. This shows that our strategy and tactic of using local leaders works, similarly to what we had adopted in the Galas and Batu Sapi by-elections,”

Wat happen to Muyiddin's claim of 5,000 vote majority? And now he's replying that it is to boost BN component parties to work hard for Tenang by-election?

So, what's the difference between Anwar's Sept 16 claim and Muhyiddin's 5,000 vote majority? If, Anwar, as claimed by UMNO-BN had cheated rakyat through his Sept 16, what about Muhyuddin's 5,000 vote claim? Is this a worst cheat to Tenang and BN component parties?

In fact, 1Coward Najib have sent all the BN to overseas on Sept 16 because scared to Anwar isn't? Coward fellow.... Again and again you're making mistake NAjib!

Shameless Soi Lek (MCA), Palanivel (MIC), Kayveas (PPP), Stupid IPF, KIMMA, and the worst bastard Thanenthiran (Makkal Sakthi), do you know the basic UMNO tricks now? They have cheated you and the rakyat for 50 years.. and you all are still there begging and very sincere to moron UMNO.

Try to think about the FUTURE of rakyat and your childrens !!!! SAVE MALAYSIA

BN keeps Tenang with 3,707 majority

LABIS, Jan 30 — Barisan Nasional’s (BN) retained the Tenang seat today with a 3,707 vote majority, short of the 5,000 majority the ruling coalition had expected from the Umno stronghold.

BN’s Azahar Ibrahim polled 6,699 votes against PAS’s Normala Sudirman, who took 2,992 votes from the 12 polling districts.

A total of 9,833 voters or 67 per cent of the 14,753 electorate turned up to cast their ballots despite the rain.

Several Pakatan Rakyat (PR) leaders had, prior to the official announcement, sent Twitter updates saying that Azahar had won today’s by-election, which was hit by a day-long deluge and flash floods.

PAS vice-president Datuk Mahfuz Omar had also sent out a congratulatory message to Azahar via Twitter.

Shortly before polling closed, the EC had sent out boats to ferry voters to four polling centres as heavy rains flooded several areas in the constituency.

Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin had expressed concern that rainy weather would affect turnout in the Tenang by-election and may result in Barisan Nasional (BN) winning with lower majority than expected.

BN had initially targeted a victory margin of 5,000 votes. It retained Tenang in 2008 by 2,491 votes, half the majority obtained in 2004.

The Tenang seat fell vacant when incumbent Sulaiman died last December 17 due to complications with diabetes.

Nik Aziz offending all Muslims in saying those who don’t vote PAS were ‘Jahiliah’ – Muhyiddin

Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, the deputy prime minister has hit out at Datuk Nik Aziz Nik Mat, the Spiritual Leader of opposition party PAS saying that Nik Aziz had offended all Muslims when he suggested that any Muslim who did not vote for PAS were ignorant Muslims or ‘Jahiliah’. Muhyiddin said “Nik Aziz had abused Islam by issuing various “fatwa” or edicts which contradicted the religion according to the circumstances and time.”

He added that “The statement by Nik Aziz ridicules us merely because we don’t support PAS. Is Nik Aziz labelling all the voters in Labis as ignorant? The label “jahiliah” against those who did not vote for PAS should not have been uttered by someone who was said to be a spiritual leader and addressed as “ustaz”. Nik Aziz had issued various deviationist edicts including stating that PAS supporters could not consume any meat slaughtered by Umno members. But in the Tenang state constituency, we see that PAS people are eating in shops run by Umno members,”

Have Nik Aziz given you a passport to go to heaven yet? He has given one to Lee Kuan Yew. That is why Lee kuan Yew now dont want the Malays in Singapore to be too strict in Islamic laws so that they can easily integrate with the free people of Singapore to worship Satan and enjoy only.

Very smart guy you are nothing but the slaves of Satan only. You have chronic ideas about what life is really for.

No matter what Umno say, Nik Aziz is a respected Statesman and a religious leader to intelligent Malaysian. Many chinese respect him and everyone knows chinese don't usually respect other people easily. Nik Aziz is not like those Umno dogs not worthy even to mention their names. So if Nik Aziz says what he says then it is correct.

Home Minister orders probe on CNN report that Anwar has links with Muslim group

The Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein has ordered an immediate probe into the opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim over his alleged links with a radical Muslim group after it was reported in CNN that and investigation in Saudi Arabia on Anwar was instigated by the prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak. Hishammuddin denied the reports by CNN and said that the counter terrorism unit and the Special Branch of the Police has been instructed to investigate if Anwar is connected to Muslim Brotherhood, a group alleged be linked with terrorist groups.

Hishammuddin said “It has got nothing to do with Najib. It is just a CNN report linking him to a terrorist organization. I have asked the terrorist task force and I have asked the Special Branch, and they are linking up with the Saudi’s intelligence to find out to what extent is Anwar Ibrahim linked to this terrorist group. This is not a political issue. This is a security issue, like it or not we must take this seriously,”

How low can Najib and Hishammuddin stoop to?.Get the CNN ( after all they are linked to the CIA, the covert body that protects Najib and his interests) to "report" the news linking Anwar to the Islamic pressure groups and make him look bad in the eyes of the non-Malays.
Why does the CNN not report on Najib's illicit affairs and Hishammuddin's gay adventures. The Americans are the minions of Satan.

It's a Saudi's intelligence secret report, but CNN has a copy of it. This smells like Apco's work.

Can we really expect the Saudi secret intelligence report to admit that Saudi princes funded the Malaysian opposition leader? Just like we can't expect the Malaysian secret intelligence to report that Malaysian government supported Muslim insurgencies in southern Thailand and the Philippines.

I don't know about Muslim Brotherhood, but Anwar's links to fellow brothers in the Muslim world is very strong. Remember that a Saudi government jet flew him to Munich for the spine surgery and then was offered to go to Saudi Arabia to recuperate. When Sodomy II started and he expected to be arrested, the Turkish Embassy provided him a safe haven. I wonder if our PM has that kind of links.

I do not think the Muslim Brotherhood is a terrorist group but a group who wants to see justice and the eradication of corruption, cronyism and nepotism, especially in the Middle East. I do not think it is fair to call them terrorists just because they are independent and not aligned to some Western countries.
Apart from probing overseas funding of Anwar there are many probes yet to be launched:

1) illicit capital outflow
2) custodial deaths
3) corruption involving politicians
4) abuse and misuse of power by government institutions, civil servants and politicians
5) extent of racism and religious extremism.

And the list goes on and on.

So where again does it say that Anwar is funded by terrorists? Unless I'm reading a different paper from Najib, it says that, "There is no evidence any Saudi official ever supported Anwar Ibrahim" and "claims of support from the Saudi royals named in the initial report were found to be without basis," said CNN.

Then it also said, "It also found that al-Qaeda and the Taliban were still able to use Saudi Arabia for fund-raising". Where is the al-Qaeda and Anwar link? Putrajaya is working overtime and spinning more lies.
