My husband has no time to debate with Anwar - Rosmah

The prime minister’s wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor has come out to help in campaigning for her husband Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and the BN (Barisan Nasional) in the by-election of Hulu Selangor where she called on voters not to be easily deceived by those who are spreading lies against the ruling coalition. She said that Najib would not have time to debate with opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and that claims that one would be held is just another lie spread by the opposition. She said “Datuk Najib has told me himself that there is no programme at all for a debate.

Look at how they create a lie, claiming something that is not correct just to confuse the electorate here. Later, when we don’t come (for the debate), they say it’s because Datuk Najib is a coward. My husband is not going to waste his time, he has other work to do, and he has no time for a debate with the opposition leader. We are thinking how to develop the country, how to raise the standard of living of the people, that is what Datuk Najib is thinking of. I speak on behalf of the leader, in case you cannot see Datuk Najib and Datuk Najib has no time to say thank you. I wish to say thank you very much (on his behalf). So, I hope the voters will not listen to the slanders hurled by them and I hope everyone have decided to vote for ‘abang’ Kamal (P.Kamalanathan), our candidate from the BN,”

She added that “According to our calculation, insya-Allah we can win, but I must remind everyone that it’s like playing badminton. Until we have secured the 21st point, we have not won yet...although we feel we can win, we must work until midnight tonight,”
