Share
The former Health Minister Datuk Seri Chua Jui Meng has got 2 of his Datukships revoked which were earlier awarded by the former Johor Sultan. Chua was formerly the vice-president of MCA who now holds a position in the supreme council in the PKR (Parti Keadilan Rakyat). According to Abdul Rahim Ramli, the Johor Royal Council secretary, he has since called Chua twice to return his medals.

Chua told local news portal Mkini that "(Abdul Rahim) told me that my two datuk-ships have been revoked," the titles, which carry ‘Datuk’ and ‘Datuk Seri’ were awarded to Chua by the late Sultan Mahmud Iskandar. He added that when pressed on, Abdul Rahim refused to give him any reasons for the revocation because the Johor palace was had the prerogative to revoke the titles without giving any explanation. Having done that, Chua still holds Datukships which was conferred to him to him by the Pahang Sultan in 2002 while the Sultan of Selangor awarded him another in 2003

This goes to show even the Sultan is unable to do anything partial and a tool to the BN. What is 10 Datukship or Tun compare to a single pride in any man worth his salt ? Just return that worthless title which is only good to rub shoulder with the rich and famous. But again, an ordinary man in the street could be better off than certain Datukship holder as majority of them are crooks and ball carrier !
