Chong Wei called Rosmah before and after each match in All-England for inspiration

Share
National shuttler Datuk Lee Chong Wei spoke about his inspiration on winning the elusive All-England Singles title. He said that throughout the tournament, he called and spoke to the wife of the Prime Minister, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor before and after every match he played during the tournament held in Birmingham which he claims to have boosted his morale which saw him eventually winning the championship.

He said this when visiting the official residence of the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak with Datuk Misbun Sidek, his coach and Datuk Shabery Cheek, the Minister of Youth and Sports. Rosmah said that she is proud with Lee’s achievement but he must stay focused in working towards claiming the Thomas Cup when it is played in Kuala Lumpur this May. She said “”Chong Wei should not become complacent following the various awards and incentives showered upon him for winning the All-England title.

Now, Chong Wei must focus on winning the Thomas Cup. You have promised to win," As the patron of the BAM (Badminton Association of Malaysia), she added that “An analysis be conducted on the inconsistent performance of national badminton players to determine the cause of their ups and downs. The BAM to also focus on the training for the rest of the players in preparation for the Thomas Cup and Uber Cup, instead of concentrating only on Chong Wei. One has to consider the other players as well. These (Thomas and Uber Cup competitions) are team competitions,"

i didnt know this chong wei wanna "polish" rosmah this way !!! i'm simply beyond words when he should have called his own mother, family members & friends for moral support, why has to be her ??

did you call your own mother b4 & after the game ? i'll be sad & sorry for your mother if you didnt !

your own family is most precious & they are the ones who will still be by your side shld you failed next time. try calling rosmah again next time when you lost your game, see how she react. see whether she would give you any $$ award or even seen photographed with you.

i love watching badminton but now your action made me wanna puke
