Portion of ceiling at Penang state assembly collapsed

It is reported that a portion of the ceiling in the Penang State Assembly sitting hall collapsed yesterday. Fortunately, no casualties were reported. According to speaker Abdul Halim Hussain, the ceiling over the media and at the public galleries collapsed around 3.30 pm yesterday.

Even though there were two to three staffs in the hall when the incident occurred, he said no one was injured. Meanwhile, Public Works Department is currently delving into the incident and checking on the safety of the building.

Initially, the state assembly is planned on Monday but Abdul Halim assured that the sitting will continue as scheduled. On another note, similar incident happened three years ago on July 23, 2008 when part of the plaster ceiling in the very same building tumbled down.

In just 2 years, so many CRASH ! BOOOOM ! BANG ! ... from new constructed Jln. Duta High Court, stadium, swimming pool, building ( in terengganu ), demolition works at old Jaya Super market, water pipe burst at Jln. Univeristy and manyak manyak lagi.

Till now, i don't know what is happening in Bkt Antara Bangsa ... how much has our Federal government came out with its preventive measure ? Don't just sit there, another few months ... raining season will be here again.
