Burning Utusan Malaysia is like an insult to the Malays

Share
Datuk Mohamad Aziz, the BN (Barisan Nasional) Member of Parliament of Sri Gading slammed those involved in the burning of the Malay newspaper Utusan Malaysia saying that the act done by the Malays as an insult to the race itself because the newspaper, which is seen as the official organ of the Malay community in their independence struggles was then considered a noble media but have recently been humiliated by the Malays. The Backbencher said "I wish to ask the Malays who had burnt the Utusan Malaysia several weeks ago whether they were aware that their action was most insulting to the Malays. Utusan Malaysia was established 73 years ago in the year 1937. It was the official organ of the Malays in demanding for the country's independence, this was the newspaper that educated the Malay mind to move forward. Do the Malays want to insult a newspaper that had contributed significantly to the progress of the Malays?"

Speaking in the Dewan Rakyat, Datuk Bung Moktar Radin, the Kinabatangan BN MP added that "Here, we are not defending anybody, but we are stating that the truth remains the truth. Could they have been influenced by the non-Malay leaders?"

73 years establised and Utusan is being insulted? What a shame indeed. 73 years ago, Utusan was a noble Malay paper. Now Utusan has become a racist daily, only to aim on inciting trouble to Malaysians as a whole.

You claim it publishes truth?? Correction, it publishes twisting and manuplation of news reportings so that Malays will hate the other races. A media that would not help the PM achieve his 1 Malaysia.
