Umno wants back Kedah – Mukhriz

Share
Datuk Mukhriz Tun Dr Mahathir, the deputy minister of international trade and industry said that Umno is working hard to recapture Kedah which they lost to the opposition front PR (Pakatan Rakyat) in the last general election. Mukhriz, the son of former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad is also the deputy liaison chief o Kedah Umno said that the leaders and members of Kedah Umno are working to set aside their differences in order to strengthen the party and to make sure that Kedah ‘returns’ to Umno in the next general election.

He said “If there were any differences between the leaders or members at the divisional or branch level, they were regarded as minor as there were bigger party interests to think of. We are optimistic about resolving the problems and are prepared to face the next general election. However, based on the feedback I’ve received so far, the outlook is positive. The Kedah Umno liaison’s task would be focused on raising the people’s confidence in Barisan Nasional’s capability in administering the state, compared to the current administration under the PAS-DAP-PKR state government. Comparing the two, I think it is clear that BN is more able and capable,”
