No cover up on rape allegations as I was never aware – Badawi

The former prime minister Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said that he was ‘never aware’ that there were allegations against Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim for raping his Indonesian maid and denied that there has been any sort of cover up when he was the prime minister over the allegations. Rumours have been going around accusing Rais for ‘raping’ his Indonesian maid which he has since denied. Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, the prime minister also casted doubts on the allegations where he questioned why it took 4 years for the allegations to surface.

Rais had said after his name was mentioned that “I deny every allegation made, whether it involves raping any individual four years ago or other accusations published by wild writers on the Internet or any political party. For the sake of justice and humanity, those who practise dirty politics whether through Internet or other media should stop speculating, defaming or to engage in unethical acts,” Meanwhile, Abdullah said “I’m not aware of that. I don’t think there was anything. Rais had already issued a statement denying the claims. It was now up to the authorities to take action against those responsible for leveling the accusations against Rais, if they were found to be untrue.”

5. You were not aware that the King was going to dissolve the parliament and SPR was going to announce the elections date
6. You were not aware that the opposition was getting so strong under your premiership

p.s: if there is a day where we have to vote for politicians to be sent on a one way ticket to mars or jupiter PAK LAH will on my top list...
