No early elections despite problems in PKR

Share
The Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said that despite the current ‘crisis’ in the opposition PKR (Parti Keadilan Rakyat), there will not be an early general election saying that “We don’t call for elections based on what’s happening in the PKR. There are many factors to think about before we decide to call for a general election. It’s not based on one single factor,” Najib who was in Kuching at the 12th Parti Pesaka Bumi-putera Bersatu Sarawak Convention at the Borneo Con¬vention Centre added that he will be able to ascertain the people’s support for the BN (Barisan Nasional) when Sarawak hold’s its state elections.

He added that “While the confidence for Barisan was there, the general election must also be based on careful planning, hard work and commitment at all levels. All these things are factors which are important. Although the mood today is definitely for Barisan, we do have to go through the necessary planning and preparations in making sure that the coalition is prepared for it,”
