Rais calls for Khalid Ibrahim to quit after his division ‘disbanded’

Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim, the Minister of Information Communication and Culture was quick to impose more damage to the PKR (Parti Keadilan Rakyat) where he said that the dissolution of the Kuala Selangor PKR division after some 11 of its committee members resigned citing losing confidence in the leadership of branch chief Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim as a ‘slap for the party’.

He called on Khalid to step down and admit that he failed to lead his own division. He said "But whether the Selangor Menteri Besar is willing to do so is a matter of fact, and a matter of his personal stance. But to the rakyat (people), it is clear that he has no choice but to state that he has been defeated by his own components (division) and his party members and the local people. The dissolution of the PKR division showed the change in attitude of the people around Kuala Selangor who no longer trusted the party. The decision of the people in Kuala Selangor should be taken as an indicator by the PKR leaders who assumed that the people trusted them,
