1Malaysia logos banned in Selangor billboards

Share
The Pakatan Rakyat state government of Selangor has issued a ban on using 1Malaysia logos in billboard advertisements in the state. According to Ronnie Liu, the Chairman of the Selangor’s Housing and Local Government Committee, the 1Malaysia is a political one and hence it contravene local by-laws as political logos cannot be used in billboards.

He said “You don’t see any billboard in Selangor carrying the PKR, PAS or DAP logo. Local government by-laws in Selangor clearly state that political symbols cannot be used on billboard advertisements. The 1Malaysia advertisements were a political message of the Barisan Nasional. It is clear that Barisan is pushing hard for the 1Malaysia concept and to send out its message to the people. It was only at certain times, such as a general election, that such advertisements would be allowed. Not on normal days. There are no DAP, PAS or PKR advertisements on the streets. It should be the same for Barisan. The state government sent out circulars to all local and district councils in Selangor recently to reiterate the prohibition because certain quarters had wanted to include the 1Malaysia logo in their billboard advertisements. There was enthusiasm to add the logo in advertisements by certain quarters. So we had to remind the councils to be firm in prohibiting it,”

Yes,you are very much right Y.B.,BE END have been actively campaigning in this manner over the years till todate,as per guidelines of SPR only 1month for any election or buy-election for the oppositions, but since BE END controls the whole prime medias the have the upper hand to campaign year in year out, while the later treated the other way around.Double standard by SPR

So,its the right thing to do,to stop this nonsense at once and for all.
