Isa hits out at ‘hypocrites’

Share
Tan Sri Mohd Isa Samad, the former Mentri Besar of Negeri Sembilan who will be contesting in the upcoming by-election of Bagan Pinang under the BN’s umbrella has hit out at his critics for his past where he was convicted of money politics during the 2004 Umno party elections.

Isa, who has been serving the state for 22 years believe that he has the advantage as he is well-known every where he goes.

On claims from Salahuddin Ayub, the director of elections from PAS who said that he has a dismal record as the Mentri Besar of Negri Sembilan. He said "There is no need to answer him. Salahuddin is better off advising the menteri besar of Kelantan. If they can match Negri Sembilan's economic success, then hats off to them. They can't improve the economy, because in Kelantan they are too busy with politics. Even religion is turned into a political issue. There is no time for development,"

He added that the people should not vote for hypocrites, like PAS who has since compromised their beliefs and principles in order to gain votes and to please their partner parties. He added that "That is why we must reject PAS. They never practise what they preach. In Bagan Pinang. They said they won't indulge in personal attacks, but they still do. If PAS - a self-proclaimed Islamic party - behaves like this, what more can we expect from DAP or PKR? In 1997, there was the economic crisis, and economic experts in PAS said the solution was religion. But they didn't say how. During the first MTEN meeting, I was still the menteri besar at the time and all the menteris besar came for a meeting. Kelantan was represented by Nik Aziz (Nik Mat) and PAS was represented by Abdul Hadi Awang. I wanted to see what suggestions these PAS people could bring. But they kept silent throughout! How can we expect such people to rule the country? Hancur (we'll be in ruins)!"

He also commented on those who raised the issue of his suspension citing that some from the opposition parties were also in the same boat. "I violated the code of ethics for party elections and my membership was suspended for three years. For that, they (opposition) say I cannot contest (in the by-election). Anwar went to jail for six years and Lim Guan Eng spent a few years in jail, but they are allowed to contest and I am not. That is hilang akal (they have gone mad). There were supporters who wanted me to leave Umno, but I said I can't. I don't see any other party that can rule the country like BN. Don't forget, I won the vice-presidency with the highest number of votes. Don't you think I wasn't angry when I was suspended? But I didn't lose my head."

Money politics is halal in UMNO - how pathetic and this clown is trying to justify it.

just look at Ali Rustam still sitting as CM of Melaka and KJ elected as UMNO youth leader. Don't these morons have any credibility left??

Now the young would think that corruption is truly accepted and is alright within the Malayisan society. So why bother with MACC and pay gaji buta to all those employees??

Hey Isa, in UMNO there is this thing called Melayu Boleh and with this mentality you guys will continue to do things against the normal course of law.

This mentality will not only destroy the party but also the bangsa as well. A thief if a thief whichever way you try to name it but as I say UMNO boleh in everthing that is against the norm.

Let those people in NS decide whether they want to have a guy with unclean record representing them or otherwise. Dont forget we have 1 big head in Melaka who is the CM and found guilty as well but no action taken.

Melaka sickness may spread to NS as well??????
