Stop criticising the government, says Taib

Share
Chief Minister Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud has called on the people in the state to stop criticising the government.

He said Sarawak had benefited tremendously from the development programmes implemented by the federal government, including infrastructure development, since the formation of Malaysia 46 years ago.

He also called on the people to safeguard peace and harmony among the people, which he said was due to the sacrifice of the nation’s forefathers.

“If there is chaos in the country, it will be impossible for us to celebrate any festivity. We should therefore take stock of what the government has done for us,” he said in his Hari Raya message.

He also said that Malaysians were fortunate to have a prime minister “who has the qualification and a leader who cares for the people’s well-being.”

Meanwhile, Yang di-Pertua Negeri Tun Abang Muhammad Salahuddin Abang Barieng, in his Hari Raya message, said he hoped that the open house tradition would continue.

He added that this would strengthen unity among the people in line with the 1Malaysia concept.

“The prime minister recognises Sarawak as a 1Malaysia model state,” he said.

Well said. Sure Sarawak "benefitted tremendously from the development programmes". And you are right, people should take stock of what the govt has done for them. By the way, can you please declare your assets ?

All these tremendously benefits all had gone into your own family's pockets.

1 Rakyat will not be stifled with this idiotic statement! We will continue to criticise the old and aging goons who are very selfish for thier own personel goals whereever , whenever, however, whichever we feel like it.

The old aging goons are Taib, Alfred Jabu, George Chan, Wong Soon Koh, Peter Chin, Robert Lau Hoi Chiew, James Masing, William Mawam, Joseph Entulu and many more!
