Arrest of Khir Toyo not 'Sandiwara' by BN - Najib

The prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has denied the claims that the recent arrest of former Mentri Besar of Selangor Datuk Seri Dr Mohd Khir Toyo was ‘just a show’ as alleged by the opposition front. Khir Toyo was recently arrested and charged for land fraud but the leaders from the opposition parties have been claiming that it was just ‘a political show’ for the people to prepare for snap polls.

Najib said “What is this about it being a sandiwara? Once there is a charge, that means we do not view this as just a game. This is something that the MACC (Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission) has thoroughly investigated. The MACC, as an independent body, brought the matter to the A-G, who is also impartial. All these processes have to be followed and now that the A-G has made his decision to bring the matter to court, let the courts decide.

We cannot say a person is guilty... the court determines this. Corruption has become a political issue now. They want to accuse us, say that we are not serious or that we are doing a cover-up or that we conduct selective prosecution and so on. But we are always bound by the law and MACC is free to investigate anyone. There would be a bad implication on us if the case is brought to court and we lose it. It is even worse than the reverse, in fact. So before the case is taken to court, the MACC and the A-G has to be confident enough that they have a case and even then, it depends on the witnesses. If the witness changes his stand suddenly and becomes hostile, the court can throw the case out,”

in our malaysian political scene..!! Whatever and whenever they say ''yes'', it means ''no''..!! And if they say that the arrest of toyo is not a sandiwara then it means it is a sandiwara..!! Everything must be read opposite because we malaysian was very stupd one..!!

if the MACC are independent, they should investigate Taib Mahmud...and other....if Taib Mahmud said are the wealth person, i think PM sould be more richer than taib mahmud....PM...u and ur cabinet must retify ur asset, money, investment share and son on like the public servent do....do u dare....?????

and how come the commisen payment for Scorpane submarine is about RM500million....for just one company....dont' talk bullshit.....that is some part of corruption.....**&^%^^&&%$@@!!...MACC do be like a chicken....u should investigate this case.....
