Independent MP calls on Anwar to prove they received RM2m for quitting PKR

Datuk Zahrain Mohd Hashim, the Bayan Baru independent Member of Parliament has slammed opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim who claimed that he (Zahrain) and several MPs who were from the PKR (Parti Keadilan Rakyat) had received RM2million to quit the opposition party. Zahrain was one of the few MPs who left the party and had since formed the Independent bloc said Anwar should show evidence of his claims otherwise he should just keep quiet.

He said “If he has the proof, show it. There is no need to wait any longer. However, if he doesn’t have any proof, he should just shut up. Anwar, as an Opposition Leader, should behave like one and raise issues that are valid to the rakyat.” Wee Choo Keong, the Wangsa Maju MP too lashed out at Anwar saying that “Anwar had also claimed that Pakatan Rakyat would take over the Govern­ment on Sept 16, 2008 but nothing came of it.”
