Anwar blasts Zahrain’s ‘Eli sex-tape’ claim

Share
PKR de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim denied today that he possessed or had watched an illicit video allegedly of Bukit Lanjan assemblywoman Elizabeth Wong performing a sex act.

Anwar slammed his former party comrade Datuk Seri Zahrain Hashim for making the allegation in Parliament yesterday, accusing him of conveniently having “revelations” only after he made good with Umno.

“Why should we entertain him? Why should we entertain those who have already been paid off? Do you think this is a serious allegation?

“If it is serious, I will produce that video. But no, I did not see it. Maybe he has watched this pornographic film, I do not know,” he said in a press conference at the Parliament lobby here this afternoon.

In his debate on the 10th Malaysia Plan yesterday, Zahrain, the now independent Bayan Baru MP, launched into another attack on his former leader, accusing him of backing the removal of Wong from the Selangor state government.

He claimed that Anwar had informed party leaders that he had in his possession an illicit video of Wong in a supposed sex act and that he would soon reveal it.

Zahrain also claimed that it was Anwar who had suggested that Wong quit from the state government.

“We were shocked by the revelation and he said he would show us the video,” Zahrain had said, adding that till today, the PKR leader had not revealed it.

Today, Anwar slammed Zahrain for using the Parliament as a platform for his “disgusting” politics of accusation.

“You (Zahrain) were already paid, so just take your payment, there is no need to spread lies.

“Elizabeth Wong, as a female politician, has her honour, too. If there is proof, then reveal it. They claimed someone saw the video... who? ‘Anwar.’ But no proof,” he said.

When pressed further on the matter, Anwar rebuked the media for prolonging the issue.

“Do not tell me there is nothing else you can write.

“What do you expect me to do? There was no shred of evidence. If you have a political agenda, it should not be at the expense of engaging in character assassination, gutter politics or character attacks. This is immoral, unethical and unacceptable.

“And on what capacity do you question the morality of others? Do you have higher moral standing? Are you a good, practising Muslim? It is not Islamic ethics to attack someone’s personal life,” said Anwar, in reference to Zahrain.

Wong’s private pictures first surfaced on the Internet in February last year, which resulted in her tendering her resignation to the Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim.

Her resignation was, however, rejected by Khalid and Wong returned to the state administration after she went on extended leave.

Yesterday, Zahrain said Anwar had turned against Kulim-Bandar Baharu MP Zulkifli Noordin, for speaking up against Khalid.

“Kulim who criticised the mentri besar for retaining Elizabeth Wong, was later sacked,” Zahrain added.

Zahrain - you are a despicable pig-headed animal to attack elizabeth in this manner.
You should repeat this outside the parliament - so that anwar can sue your pants off!
You are not only a coward - but a traitor and disgrace to us malaysian!

This Zahrain fellow is devoid of any basic human decency to raise the issue of Eli Wong's sex video in the august house which has nothing whatsoever to do the 10MP being debated. He is unethical and does not deserve any respect in spite of his parliamentary status.

He betrayed his constituents and cheated his party He is rotten to the core and now befriends with the Umno/BN government. What does this make of the Umno/BN government?
