bowl level Expert: Some video cameras can cause image distortion

Share

The image of people captured on CCTV or spycam may appear 15% to 20% larger if they are closer to the camera, said an audiovisual specialist.

Salleh Abdullah, who has technical experience in the film industry, said such distortion occurred because small cameras like CCTV or spycam were not equipped with that many components as a video camera to minimise the distortion.

“The degree of distortion depended on the lens type. If a wide-angle lens is used, the figure will appear large at close range,” he said, adding that telephoto lens would make the image captured look more normal.

He said the higher range CCTV or spycam might be equipped with zoom control devices which could reduce the distortion.

Salleh was commenting on the current debate on a sex video implicating Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

He said the video was most probably recorded using a spycam as the image was captured from a low angle.

Universiti Sains Malaysia computer science lecturer Dr Aman Jantan said identity could also be ascertained using facial recognition system tools.

He noted that police in Tampa Bay, Florida, used the Identix facial recognition software to search for potential criminals and terrorists attending a Super Bowl match in January 2001.

Hahaha! It was just a matter of time when these so-called experts would appear.

Experts? Hahahahaha!

Ask that A*****e DPP in Teoh Beng Hock's case, he will show you how Teoh strangled himself. Ask him now, if that is Anwar in the video, he'll tell you he recognized Anwar's tetek and batang.

My advice to Anwar is to go get his penis tatooed or at least a tatoo on his bum.

If we don't see the tats, then its not Anwar.

Fcuk! The whole affair is so freaking ridiculous! Its a planned diversion from real issues!
