PM wants input for Budget 2011

Share
The prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has called for input from the public as he prepares for the country’s Budget 2011. Najib is expected to table next year’s budget in Parliament this coming October and he is calling for ideas or input from anyone through his blog in www.1malaysia.com.my. This would otherwise be a similar exercise he carried out the last time around. He said that he has since received some ‘wonderful suggestions and feedback’ from the people particularly from the younger generation and is now looking for more creative ideas.

He wrote that “For your feedback and suggestions, I thank you and invite you once more to share your ideas for the upcoming national Budget 2011. Let me know what areas of development you would like to see prioritised for next year. You are, after all, the generation that will be driving our country’s economy for the next 20 years.

The rakyat contributed hundreds of solid suggestions to the Budget last year, and a significant portion of the ideas were absorbed into that Budget. This year, we have unveiled the Government Transformation Programme, the New Economic Model and the 10th Malaysia Plan as measures that will chart the course for the nation’s development as we approach 2020. These measures also promote greater inclusiveness and emphasis on social justice so that no Malaysian is left behind in our steady march forward,”
