Share
Datuk Seir Nazri Abd Aziz, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department said that the case involving Datuk V K Lingam for the offence of allegedly brokering of judges is now closed and no further action will be taken. In his written reply to Lim Guan Eng, the DAP MP of Bagan, he said that the offence which was recorded on a video clip showed that there was no criminal offence involved in the judges’ appointment. Nazri said “After ACA officers investigated those involved in the video clip, it was concluded that there is no abuse of power. The Attorney-General (A-G) has decided that no further action is needed. The remaining paper was later classified by the A-G as “no further action” as there were no suspects who could confirm the handling of documents in the appointment of High Court judges.”
