Share

The ceiling of the main lobby of the Serdang Hospital collapsed early yesterday morning but fortunately no one was hurt or injured in the incident. According to reports, the incident happened at around 12.10am which was beyond the visiting hours of the hospital and there were nobody around when the ceiling fell. It occurred around the main entrance-cum-waiting area which would be populated by people if it was the visiting hours.

According to a guard, “It was fortunate the collapse occurred well beyond visiting hours when no one was in the area. I was shocked when I heard a crashing sound, only to see after the dust had cleared that the ceiling had collapsed. Fortunately, no one was there when it happened," The areas has since been cordoned off. The hospital, which is one of the e-hospital networks under the Government began operations in 15 December 2005 and cost RM690million to construct.
