Umno Youth to gather on July 9, rival Bersih rally

Share

Umno Youth will organise a gathering on July 9 to “ strengthen the democratic system” and rival electoral reform group Bersih 2.0’s rally on the same day.

Its chief Khairy Jamaluddin said it won’t join the Bersih rally, which is also facing a counter-protest by Malay rights group Perkasa.

“Umno Youth will organise a gathering on July 9 to strengthen the democratic system. Won’t join Bersih because they have opposition agenda,” the Rembau MP wrote in his Twitter microblogging account.

He had earlier chaired an Umno Youth council meeting today.

Police have said it won’t issue permits for any rally in the city on that day, when a rock concert featuring Sweet Charity and Blues Gang will be held later that night.

Anyone opposing Bersih, means they prefer Kotor.

So what does that say for UMNO youth?
Looks like they prefer KOTOR.
(True colours are showing.)

Now the UMNO youth aka Legalised Mat Rempits wants to join the band wagon
khairy you talk nonsense. if you stand for democracy then you should stand together with the BERSIH rally you idiot. they carry agenda for free and fair election and that's democracy. wonder where his oxford degree comes from!

Make sure each group wear different colour t shirts. Then we can count which group is larger. The police should give the permits to all the group and control them so that nobody cross the lines to create troubles. Lets make July 9 as a public outing day. Bring the family together and make it a 1Malaysia day so that the PM can also get some mileage. The government do not need to spend RM 29 million and yet can get more than one million participants.

The tv can also organize a forum on what is fair elections as wanted by the citizens. The leaders of the groups can be panel members. The government and the police must think positively. The businessmen will also be happy because a million hungry and angry people will assemble in the city. The out of town people will also spend money on their food and lodging while they are in town. The Tourism Malaysia can co sponsor the events and claim credit for promoting the biggest domestic tourist event. If successful make it into an annual affair.
