Share
Tan Sri Ismail Omar, the newly appointed IGP (Inspector-General of Police) who took office recently has pledged and vowed that he will carry out his duties in accordance to the law and that he will work to ensure that the police serves the people and provide the best delivery service possible. He takes over the duties and responsibilities from Tan Sri Musa Hassan, who stepped down after his term expired on Monday of whom he was previously the deputy.

He will carry out the duties of the country’s top cop in Bukit Aman and he said that he has been trained by his predecessor well and now has a heavy responsibility and challenges. He joined the police force back in 1971 where he was first an inspector and continued to hold various other positions including leading the headquarters’ CID Legal/Prosecution Affairs as well as the Selangor Police Chief.
