CPO: Protest to be investigated under Sedition Act

Share
Selangor CPO Datuk Khalid Abu Bakar said the police are looking into yesterday’s protest at the state secretariat building against the relocation of a Hindu temple here under the Sedition Act.

He said those involved would be called up for questioning.

"We have identified those involved in the incident and will be recording their statements,” he said.

Khalid warned that the police would not hesitate to take stern action against anyone out to create racial tension.

At yesterday’s protest, about 50 people marched from the state mosque to the state secretariat building with a severed cow’s head.

Selangor Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim has condemned the provocative, offensive action by the group.

What! called up only for questioning. Watch the U-tube. Its crystal clear what had happened and what was said and these people should be ISAed immediately. Compared to the passive and peaceful candle-light vigil where the vigilers were arrested on the spot, the cow head demonstaration was nothing short of creating fear and threatening national peace and harmony. Wake up man and for once do the right thing and you might salvage some credibility for the police force.

dun worry, no action will be taken against the protestors as they are UMNO members..

What the public cannot understand is how a group of policemen, including officers, can be witnessing a shocking demonstration like this and yet take no action?

Even more shocking is the statement by the Selangor CPO that action can only be taken if there are police reports made.

Do you mean to say that our policemen are not trained to spot criminal activities even when the policemen is standing there watching the crime in progress?

What reports did the policemen witnessing this demonstration, including a junior officer, make to the Selangor CPO?

This is either incompetence of the highest degree or it was all planned to happen this way.
