Not as though they are F-18 engines?

Share
“They are very old engines... they are not state-of-the-art. So, it is not of strategic asset to the nation. It is not as though they are Sukhoi or F-18 engines.”

Ladies and gentlemen, that’s your prime minister (and defence minister when these “non-strategic” engines were stolen) talking.

The callousness of the statement simply beggars belief. It’s like saying that old fighter jet engines going walkabout from under the RMAF’s noses is about as serious as someone making off with a box of pencils from the Sungai Besi Air Force base.

In that vein, you could also say that the Port Klang Free Zone scandal isn’t really that big a deal. It’s not like the country can’t afford to flush RM12 billion down the drain. We can always shake Petronas down for more loose change.

Or that Teoh Beng Hock’s mysterious death while being interrogated by the MACC isn’t really a vital issue. After all, it’s just one guy; it’s not as if tens or hundreds of people are dying at Plaza Masalam.

And you know what? Teoh wasn’t even anyone important. An aide to a state assemblyman? Please. Wake me up when somebody of note kicks the bucket.

So far, it looks as though the entire debacle is done and dusted. Stolen engines found? Check. The two guys who nicked the engines? Check.

The investigation as to how and why a security breach of this magnitude was allowed to happen? Say what?

Little wonder then that Datuk Zahid Hamidi has now said that the case involving army personnel leaking the country’s secrets to foreign embassies has been closed on orders from the Prime Minister’s Office.

After all, it’s not as though national secrets are anything more than squiggly lines printed on pieces of paper.

Please-lah, what information do can they get from armed force?

Maybe they want to know how the engines get stolen easily by so called "low rank" soldiers.
After all, malaysian army strength is still being in low rank and enough to catch people demontrate only......WAR,,,don't kidding, they die fast.

Welcome to malaysia. Everything is a small problem, military security, financial integrit, all kacang, yunless it touches on Ketuanan Melayu. Then that is a big problem.

Somebody robbed the TUDM. If they can get away with engines of a F15, they can get away with the engines of the MIG27. This is a security issue.

I think the statement made by the one PM .. only for Tanjung Rambutan Hospital occupants.. He does not deserve a respect from non-mentally ill citivens.

Najib

1. Jet engine missing, you call it "not...strategic asset".
2. Bala re-appear, you deem it "frivolous"
3. Extremist gather cos of Allah issue, you stay you can't stop them
4. Perak people want elections, you ignore
5. PKFZ dragging, you form another "task force"
6. Utusan is filled with racist from head to toe, you praise them.
7. Hassan Merican does a fantastic job, you don't renew his contract.
8. Musa Hassan under-performs, you extend his employment.
9. VK Lingam guilty as hell, you kasi tutup file.
10. MCA/MIC/UMNO still have internal problems, you say their problems on the wane.

Errr, are you really managing this country?

In Japan, the Defense Minister already commit Hara Kiri for bringing shame their country for losing their jet engines.

In China, these traitors are taken to be shot at the back of their head by the Communist Party.

In US, they would be thrown in Guantanamo Bay and water boarded.

Only in Malaysia, you have these portray as trivial, loose change only....case closed and a direct letter from the PM to all the mainstream media editor not ever to be mention the issue again. Malaysia BOLEH!!!
