Umno is ‘Public Enemy No. 1’

PAS vice president Datuk Mahfuz Omar has painted Barisan Nasional’s (BN) Malay party as the greatest danger to the country, as he listed out why the Islamist party will not link forces with Umno.

“We are against Umno not because they are Umno, we are against the party because they are oppressive, they suppress the citizens, they are national robbers and they (Umno, and not its members) are public enemy No. 1,” Mahfuz said in a statement today.

The senior PAS leader appeared to be responding to calls from those who want to see the two political arch-foes link up and become a united front for the Malay-Muslim community.

Recently, Palestinian rivals Fatah and Hamas agreed to join up and battle Israel to free their homeland.

Mahfuz noted that Malaysia’s Malay-Muslim politics have been compared to the latest political development in the Middle East, with some questioning why Umno and PAS could not do the same.

Mahfuz said that Hamas only agreed to unite with Fatah for the sole aim of freeing Palestine from Israel’s oppressive colonisation.

“How can PAS unite with Umno when it is Umno that is oppressing Malaysian citizens?” he argued.

“How can we PAS unite with those that practise a corrupt culture, who practise a gangster-like political culture and make fun of Allah’s laws?” he added.

The Pokok Sena MP challenged Umno to amend the Federal Constitution and other laws to return oil royalty payments to Kelantan and Terengganu, which had been halted after the BN lost the states.

Kelantan is suing national oil company Petronas for millions in outstanding oil royalties owed to the state since 1975.

The five per cent royalty payment to Terengganu was indirectly resumed in 2004, as “goodwill payments”, after BN returned to power there.

Mahfuz also dared Umno to set up royal panels to investigate several multimillion ringgit scandals, such as the Scorpene submarine purchase; the Bumiputera equity issue; outflows from oil and gas revenue; and the death of senior Customs man, Ahmad Sarbaini Mohamad, while in the custody of national graftbusters last month.

“If Umno is honest, it will present these constitutional and legal amendments,” he said.

The PAS lawmaker said in the meantime, his party will continue to push through its agenda to amend the Constitution and the country’s laws to ensure the judiciary is truly independent and the Attorney General is accountable to Parliament.

He also recommended that federal agencies, namely the Election Commission, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission and the Registrar of Societies, be placed under Parliament’s watch, together with an Independent Police Complaints and Misconducts Commission (IPCMC) recommended by a previous royal panel.

Mahfuz said PAS’s struggle was “to bring back the Supremacy of Parliament that had been neglected by Umno/BN since Independence”.

Dubious MRT awards will bloat project cost

DAP MP Tony Pua took a swipe at the Najib Administration today for awarding MRT contracts to “crony” firms without first determining the contract value, claiming it’ll bloat the country’s most expensive infrastructure project.

In a statement today, the Petaling Jaya Utara MP pointed to how the role of Independent Check Engineer (ICE) had been given to HSS Integrated Sdn Bhd (HSSI) in a “cloak and dagger” fashion although MRT project owners Syarikat Prasarana Nasional Berhad (SPNB) had initially rejected the company’s bid after it failed to put a price to its brief.

Pua (picture) questioned why despite this, SPNB group director Zulkifli Yusoff had himself admitted during a media briefing yesterday that an engineering consortium led by HSSI had already been on board as the project’s ICE since February.

This, he said, was in contradiction to SPNB’s response on April 15 when group managing director Shahril Mokhtar had denied the contract award, claiming the appointment of the ICE was yet to be finalised and any speculation on its fee quantum would jeopardise the negotiation for competitive fees from other ICE candidates.

The Malaysian Insider had first broke the story on April 14, revealing that the SPNB board was to meet on that day to award the contract for two per cent of the undetermined project cost, likely to HSSI.

Concerns have been raised over the involvement of HSSI, moreover as it apparently had an existing working relationship with MRT project delivery partner (PDP), MMC-Gamuda, through the ongoing double-tracking rail project in north Malaysia.

“What is perhaps of greatest concern to Malaysian tax-payers is the fact that while an ICE should not have an existing relationship with the parties managing the project to ensure independence, HSSI has been the contracting engineers for Gamuda’s double-tracking projects.

Zulkifli in his media briefing May 5, 2011. — Picture by Choo Choy May
“Furthermore, the speculated 2 per cent consultancy fee on the cost of the entire project, which has yet to be finalised, is substantially above market rates, understood to be in the region of 0.8 per cent,” Pua said in a statement today.

Should this fee quantum be offered, he added, the HSSI consortium would stand to pocket at least RM1 billlion in fees, RM600 million more than the estimated market value of RM400 million, granted that the MRT project costs about RM50 billion.

The project was at first estimated at RM36.6 billion but a study by CIMB Research found that it would likely cost an access of RM53 billion.

In another example, Pua noted that the Gamuda-MMC joint venture had been appointed as the MRT’s PDP, in much the same manner as HSSI.

He recalled that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak had confirmed in Parliament on April 6 that the contract had been awarded with no price fixed, despite claims that the PDP will bear all cost-overruns on the MRT project.

“It is an oxymoron for Najib to argue that the PDP will bear all cost-overruns when its own project contract value has yet to be finalised, and may be increasing as we speak, as the cost of the MRT project has already ballooned from a budgeted RM36 billion to now, an estimated RM53 billion,” said Pua.

He added that both examples were clear examples of how the Najib Administration had failed to stick to its own promises of reform and transparency particularly over government procurement, as underlined in the Government Transformation Programme (GTP).

The GTP, said Pua, had taken into account Pemudah’s estimates that corruption could cost Malaysia as much as RM10 billion annually.

“The GTP even quoted a 2007 Survey by Merdeka Centre which revealed that 71 per cent and 54 per cent of corporates and public respectively perceives ‘no transparency and openness’ in the current procurement process or system used for awarding major government projects.

“Hence the GTP called to ‘disclose details of government procurement contracts’ and recognises the role of public scrutiny to increase accountability and reduce corruption and wastage,” he said.

If the government continued to employ dubious techniques to award government procurement contracts, said Pua, Malaysian taxpayers would likely find themselves overpaying for the MRT project.

“Given the nature and size of the project, Pemudah will need to come up with new and higher estimates on how much corruption and government wastage is costing our economy,” he said.

MCA savaging DAP to mask flaws

Lim Guan Eng accused MCA today of trying to deflect focus from its shortcomings ahead of national polls by calling DAP a racist party.

The DAP secretary-general also called attention to today’s 20 sen petrol price hike, which he said was further proof of the Barisan Nasional (BN) party’s “ineffectiveness to improve the livelihood of the people”.

The price for the RON 97-grade petrol at pumps was raised to RM2.90 per litre from today, exemplifying the federal government’s moves to wean the public off subsidies, which has drawn a huge outcry from voters.

“MCA has no right to label DAP as racists when DAP is a multi-racial party fighting for all Malaysians regardless of race, religion, gender or even political affiliation,” Lim said in a statement today.

“This is proven by PR’s good governance and record of treating all equally. Instead it is MCA and Umno that are the real racists for fighting only for the Chinese or only for the Malays respectively,” he added.

DAP is a founding partner with PKR and PAS in the opposition Pakatan Rakyat (PR) bloc.

DAP and MCA have been exchanging increasingly barbed attacks since the April 16 Sarawak state election.

Observers have practically written off the Chinese community’s support for the ruling BN coalition in the next general election, which is expected to be called as early as this August, ahead of its 2013 expiry.

Lim, who is also Penang chief minister, taunted further the MCA on its failure to silence Umno-owned Utusan Malaysia’s increasingly strident tone championing Malay ideology.

“What happened to MCA’s previous loud calls to boycott Utusan?” he asked.

“Has this latest MCA boycott campaign quietly fizzled out because of fear of (Tan Sri) Muhyiddin (Hassan’s) warnings that boycotting Utusan Malaysia could risk muzzling the voice of the Malay community as Utusan represented the voice of the Malays?” he challenged.

The Bagan MP said that only Umno’s former Wanita chief, Tan Sri Rafidah Aziz, had openly rejected the influential Malay-language daily’s “1 Melayu, 1 Bumi” movement, saying it was threat to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s unifying 1 Malaysia campaign.

Lim said even Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin refused to disagree with the idea for a “1 Melayu, 1 Bumi” campaign, and did not even repeat Najib’s evasive answer — that the movement was only a personal opinion of Utusan Malaysia’s editors.

He added that it was unthinkable the newspaper that “endorses hatred, violence, racial dominance or supremacy and wants to celebrate the bloody May 13 tragedy that killed innocent Malaysians as a holy day, can represent the voice of the Malays”.

The DAP politician said it was not surprising that MCA abandoned its planned boycott and “obediently” follow Muhyiddin’s advice.

“However, it is surprising that MCA has instead decided to launch into a ferocious and rabid attack on DAP as the real racists.

“Clearly MCA feels that DAP is easier to bully than Utusan Malaysia, a classic case of fearing the wicked and bullying the good,” Lim said.

Fully agreed with LGE. MCA is history and all the ordinary people will make sure that not a single MCA guy be elected to Parliament or the state gorvenment.

MCA is dead and gone. Chua Soi Lek I would suggest that you dissolve MCA once and for all. It will be total humiliating for MCA if they contest the next GE. CSL please walk around in the urban areas and you will find that the Chinese community will reject MCA.

MCA is a sure gone case come PRU 13! People just do not trust them anymore and we are just counting on how many seats they can retain, if at all.

I wish to join MCA, will the MCA accept me? I want to join DAP, they will accept my friends, Surendran, Jagjit and Co with open arms. Whereas, MCA, only for Chinese, like UMNO. Just look at the performance of the MCA ministers, are they working?

They are there for the perks only, do you think they care for the Rakyat? If they care for the Chinese, or the Rakyat, they would have adviced Mahathir to maintain the English medium schools understanding the importance of English, but did they? They could have done so much but contributed so little, so it is high time we show them the door - OUT!

No Chinese representations in Government? So what? With MCA and GERAKAN and SUPP in the Government, do you have representations? They will only know how to clasp their hands together and kowtow, kowtow and kowtow to UMNO!! So, folks, do not bother about this no Chinese representation threats, this is just another election troll.

The Chinese form 26% of Malaysia's population and you are just as important to the Country as they are to you. If the Government is not governing well, it is the responsibility of all, not only the Chinese to vote them out. This is democracy, and clearly MCA/GERAKAN/MIC/SUPP all racists parties are not functioning in a multi racial country! Vote Pakatan Rakyat! Vote for Change!

gabby again...Shazryl not sure if Omega watch in sex video

Businessman Datuk Shazryl Eskay Abdullah admitted today he had not observed if the Omega watch purportedly belonging to Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had been filmed in the controversial sex video he released in March.

Shazryl said this when claiming to reporters today that his DNA sample had likely been taken recently to compare with that found on the watch.

“I do not know, I did not observe those things,” he said, when asked if the Omega watch could be seen in the 21-minute video.

Shazryl had earlier insisted that the watch belonged to Anwar, claiming the opposition leader had left it behind in the room where the videoed sex acts had taken place.

He made the claim when screening the video for the first time to journalists at the Carcosa Seri Negara hotel here on March 21.

Shazryl, who at the time had only identified himself as “Datuk T”, said after the sex act, the woman in the video had fished out the watch from Anwar’s belongings while the latter had gone to the bathroom.

He also alleged that Anwar had then instructed the person, whom Shazryl claimed found the video, to return to the hotel room to retrieve the watch.

During the screening, “Datuk T” had also showed an Omega watch to reporters, claiming that it was the watch that had been reclaimed by his group of accomplices.

Since then, Anwar, his wife, and his comrades in PKR have refused to field questions on the watch or produce his own Omega watch to deflect the accusations.

Shazryl and his two other accomplices, Tan Sri Abdul Rahim Tamby Chik and Datuk Shuib Lazim, collectively “Datuk T”, have since surrendered both the video and the watch to the police.

When asked today why the police had taken his DNA sample recently, Shazryl said, “I think in that case, it has something to do with the watch. I was holding on to the watch so there must have been some DNA exposure.”

Shazryl also claimed today that the original clip had not been filmed in Thailand as claimed by some.

He acknowledged there were Thai subtitles emblazoned across the bottom of the screen in the leaked video version.

“I never made that video with the Thai writing.

“But I can confirm that the original video was made in Malaysia. Who did the Thai one, I do not know.

“There was no writing in the original clip, you could only see the dates... But for some reason, whoever who published that (the Thai clip), it had some Thai words for an apparent reason that they know best,” he said.

Shazryl was earlier summoned to have his statement recorded on the fracas that took place at the Masjid Amru Al-As mosque last Friday, where he took an oath of innocence on Allah’s name over the controversy.

He told reporters that he had been quizzed on the events that took place but offered no further details.

Shazryl had invited Anwar to join him during the oath-taking but the latter had ignored the challenge.

He also reiterated his willingness to take a polygraph test to prove that he was not lying over the video but insisted on two conditions — that Anwar takes the test first and that the tests be broadcast live.

“I feel no sense of dread for I have nothing to hide.

“It must be fair, it must be live so there will be no claims of conspiracy,” he said.

Shazryl added that he had never once accused Anwar of committing adultery but merely wanted the leader to admit that he was the man in the video.

“I merely asked — is this him? I went to reporters because you know him best,” he said.

Not sure here and not sure there...Credibility ? How do we know you did not steal the watch from Anwar if there was a watch in the first place ?

Watch or No Watch, watch out for those Datuk T's next temberang...One after another statement and revelation, they are amazingly consistent in creating new lies...

Another contradiction, another bluff to get out of situations when more questions are being asked of the outdated black and white video.

You had lost a lot of credibility when people who are against DSAI confirmed that it certainly is not DSAI in the tape. Shame on you Dirty Trio!

Teoh did not squat on ledge to jump, RCI told

utusan porno...the toilet paper...press the damage people's minds

Teoh Beng Hock could not have squatted on a window ledge to jump to his death as his head would have hit a window panel, a mechanical engineering professor said today.

But Sallehuddin Muhamad said the DAP political aide could have either sat on the window ledge and fell on his own, or someone could have pushed him out the window of the then Selangor Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) office in 2009.

“I’m not an expert in forensic, so I can’t say suicide or homicide,” said Sallehuddin at the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) investigating Teoh’s death.

“Squatting on the window edge and jump(ing) forward is not possible due to (the) opening size of the window. The deceased’s head will hit the window panel if he jumps at this position,” said Bar Council lawyer Christopher Leong, reading out Sallehuddin’s report.

Sallehuddin, who is an associate professor at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, added that if Teoh had sat on the window ledge, he would have sat there for only a very short time as the sharp ledge was “uncomfortable”.

Teoh was found dead on July 16, 2009 on the fifth-floor corridor of Plaza Masalam in Shah Alam after he was questioned overnight by MACC officers at their then-Selangor headquarters on the 14th floor.

Teoh, 30, was the political secretary to Selangor executive councillor Ean Yong Hian Wah, who is also the Seri Kembangan assemblyman from the DAP, at the time of his death.

The graftbusters were investigating a claim that his boss was abusing state funds.

Government forensic pathologist Dr Prashant Samberkar has testified at the RCI that Teoh likely squatted on the window ledge before leaping to his death due to scratch marks on the soles of his shoes.

Dr Prashant also said the young man probably jumped to his death as he had landed on his feet, which was indicated by fractures on both feet.

Government forensic pathologist Dr Khairul Azman Ibrahim had similarly concluded that Teoh likely committed suicide, but foreign forensic pathologists Dr Peter Vanezis and Dr Pornthip Rojanasunand have said they could not determine if Teoh had jumped or was pushed out the window.

Dr Pornthip has also maintained her earlier testimony during the coroner’s inquest into Teoh’s death that Teoh’s neck bruises were pre-fall injuries.

Sallehuddin admitted today that he did not factor in wind conditions, the airflow from a tall building, movement of the limbs during the fall, and the weight distribution of the body when he calculated the trajectory of Teoh’s fall.

“If there is a strong wind, we should take that (into account),” said Sallehuddin.

He also said he was not satisfied with his report because to assume that Teoh’s body was an elliptical shape was not “100 per cent correct”.

“But for the moment, have to accept it,” said Sallehuddin, 45.

“Would you agree that the actual way of doing this would be to get a proper mannequin and experiment with different ways of falling?” asked Leong, referring to a mannequin with a similar texture and weight to a human body.

Sallehuddin said that method would reveal the body’s kinetic position.

The university professor said Teoh could have sat on the window ledge, turned his body, and fallen in free-fall fashion at an initial angle of 4.75 degrees.

“Either push(ed) or (on) his own,” said the bespectacled professor.

Sallehuddin said he calculated the angle of Teoh’s fall based on his own measurements and also by using computer software.

He added that Teoh had fallen 29.315 metres from the 14th floor to the fifth floor, and his body was found 2.44 metres from the wall of the building.

The professor, who did a six-week course in the United Kingdom on aircraft accident investigation in 1993, said he assumed that the window from where Teoh fell was opened to its maximum of 1.067 metres.

“To push it all the way is not easy. You have to lean forward (and you) may fall down,” said Sallehuddin, who wore a white shirt.

He also said he assumed that Teoh fell to the ground like putty with minimal bounce.

“I believe there’s a bounce that’s very small, but I didn’t take that into this analysis,” said the university professor.

The inquiry resumes tomorrow.

Sandiwara, just conclude he jumped!!!

Then we know how to vote in GE13

Somebody knows the truth and is not telling it, same as the Altantuya case. The more

they hide the worse it will be at the next elections.

This testimony indicates TBH was thrown out of window. reason is that he could not have squatted in which case, if seating on ledge and falling would mean that he could not have landed so far away from wall of building. The only other option is thrown out of window. hishamuddin did that for sure based on his known methods of interrogation and strength, lying that he was not there at material time when in fact he was, caught on CCTV, and the fact he directed another MACC officer to take his place as the interrogation officer. If he is not guilty , why all this.

Forget lie detectors, follow syariah

PKR said today it will not bow to the demands of “Datuk T” who has called for Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to take a lie detector test to see if he is the man in a sex video that surfaced in March.

Deputy president Azmin Ali dismissed the proposal, saying the Datuk T trio should instead be tried in the syariah court under qazaf for accusation of fornication without witnesses.

“This is not an issue of who is lying or not. It is about following syariah laws because the accusation falls under qazaf.

“We will not bow to this uncalled for demand. We want Datuk T to be tried under qazaf and we want it done according to syariah principles,” he told The Malaysian Insider.

The 21-minute video, showing a man resembling the former deputy prime minister having sex with a woman with Far Eastern features, was first aired to reporters at the prestigious Carcosa Seri Negara hotel here last month by a man who identified himself as Datuk T.

A few days after the viewing, it was revealed that Datuk T was a moniker that collectively referred to businessman Datuk Shazryl Eskay Abdullah, former Malacca Chief Minister Tan Sri Abdul Rahim Thamby Chik and Perkasa treasurer-general Datuk Shuib Lazim.

PKR filed a qazaf report with the Religious Department (Jawi) against the Datuk T trio for their role in the emergence of the 21-minute video shortly after their identities were revealed.

Shazryl said yesterday that he was willing to take a polygraph test to prove that Opposition Leader Anwar is the man in the video.

He said the former deputy prime minister must also undergo the test which should be screened live on national television.

Shazryl said the two conditions were to avoid any deception or conspiracy in taking the lie detector tests.

He also swore last Friday in Masjid Amru al-As in Sentul here that he was telling the truth in the sex video saga despite being obstructed by PKR supporters.

Why are the Datuk Trio not charged? They are guilty of a crime. They should not be walking around. it's a Government approved sandiwara that they are doing so what do you expect?

"Shazryl said yesterday that he was willing to take a polygraph test to prove that Opposition Leader Anwar is the man in the video."

I would agreed to that. But let's just add another condition that the lie test be conducted by someone reputable outside and agreed between both parties. Local professionals/forensics cannot be trusted anymore after TBH case.

Najib ducks MCA’s Islamic state objection over PAS invite

Datuk Seri Najib Razak refused to be drawn into a debate today over MCA’s objection to an alliance with PAS due to the latter party’s push for an Islamic state.

On Saturday, the prime minister invited PAS to join Umno but MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek closed the door the day after, saying the Islamist party must first abandon its Islamic principles.

“You know, I do not want to enter into this polemic over what is [an] Islamic state because there are various interpretation of what is Islamic state,” Najib told reporters here today.

Yesterday, Dr Chua said Najib is aware that his party will not accept PAS turning the country into an Islamic state although the prime minister cited Islam as a reason for the offer.

“MCA’s stand has been very clear that we will not accept PAS trying to make this country into a theocratic Islamic state. We will not accept that and PM is fully aware of MCA’s stance.

“They can join BN if they abandon their policy of turning this country into a theocratic Islamic state,” Dr Chua said.

Najib, who is also Umno president, had thrown open the doors on Saturday for PAS to join Barisan Nasional and further the concerns of Malays and Muslims, telling the Islamist party that it could not achieve its aims while partnering with DAP.

His invitation follows a call last weekend by Umno-owned daily Utusan Malaysia for a “1 Melayu, 1 Bumi” campaign to unite the Malays against what the newspaper said was racial politics by the DAP to stir up Chinese sentiment.

It also continues concerted efforts by Umno post-Election 2008 to get PAS to join forces in the name of Malay-Muslim unity.

The subject of unity talks between PAS and Umno had dominated the 2009 PAS Muktamar, which saw a number of leaders keen on exploring talks with Umno emerge as big winners.

More recently, top PAS and Umno leadership met at a Christmas Eve dinner, hosted by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong last year, during which the subject of Malay unity was once again broached.

Sources told The Malaysian Insider the move then to bring PAS into BN entailed both PAS president Datuk Abdul Hadi Awang and his deputy Nasharuddin Mat Isa being given a prominent role in Putrajaya if the party decides to abandon Pakatan Rakyat (PR), but spiritual adviser Datuk Nik Aziz Nik Mat continues to be the major obstacle in bringing PAS closer to the ruling coalition.

Following the furore over the Christmas Eve meet, Hadi had reassured his partners in PR that the Islamist party was committed to remaining in the pact.

Politicians are strange bed partners. On one hand Najib runs down PAS and the other hand invites PAs to join UMNO. If that is the case what is wrong with DAP and PKR in coalition with PAS??? It shows that PAS is not as bad as what the government projects them all these years..

It is all a political ploy. Hopefully PAS will not fall into the trap. You see, each time a by-election or general election is round the bend, this is what happens. UMNO sets a trap. A BN component party head lures the potential victim to the trap. And one wrong move (response) from the potential victim slams the trap on the victim and this gives BN the open highway to sawy the naive folks. You think PM and MCA did not discuss who will say what before they alked to the opposition through the media? Malaysian politics is not as complex like that as in Russia, China or USA, ok.

Anwar dismisses polygraph test demand as ‘non issue’

Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim dismissed Datuk Shazryl Eskay Abdullah’s challenge to take a polygraph test to prove he is not the man in a sex video leaked on the Internet.

Anwar refused to entertain any questions today on Shazryl’s latest proposition, leaving other Pakatan Rakyat (PR) leaders to answer questions from reporters.

“It’s a non-issue,” Anwar (picture) said curtly.

PKR said earlier today it will not bow to the demands of “Datuk T” who has called for Anwar to take the lie detector test.

Deputy president Azmin Ali dismissed the proposal, saying the Datuk T trio should instead be tried in the syariah court under qazaf for accusation of fornication without witnesses.

PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang reinforced that view and said today the “sumpah laknat” (religious oath) undertaken by Shazryl last Friday was invalid.

“They have performed the oath wrongly... they swear on the Al-Quran but they don’t follow the basic tenets.

“They don’t follow the laws and simply swear on the Quran... this is not right,” Hadi told reporters.

The 21-minute video showing a man resembling the former deputy prime minister having sex with a woman with Far Eastern features was first aired to reporters at the prestigious Carcosa Seri Negara hotel here last month by a man who identified himself as Datuk T.

A few days after the viewing, it was revealed that Datuk T was a moniker that collectively referred to businessman Shazryl, former Malacca Chief Minister Tan Sri Abdul Rahim Thamby Chik and Perkasa treasurer-general Datuk Shuib Lazim.

Shazryl said the two conditions were to avoid any deception or conspiracy in taking the lie detector tests.

He also swore last Friday in Masjid Amru al-As in Sentul here that he was telling the truth in the sex video saga despite being obstructed by PKR supporters.

Several parts of the video was posted on the YouTube video-sharing site from April 3 while a 16,23 minute version was uploaded to a pornographic site which is blocked in Malaysia.

Well done. Do not succumb to presure. They should take it openly on TV with someone from outside the country doing it. They lied and we cannot believe them at all Najib and his administration lied and that is we we cannot trust them that we want PR be give a chance and then see whether they do lie

The Trios who are definitely UMNO lap dogs could try to make a mockery of Opposition leaders in whatever ways they could think of but really they should have asked all UMNO leaders and lawmakers to take a polygraph test each and every time the Opposition exposed their misdeeds and for abusing their power in government procurements, awarding of contracts and projects without tenders and in money laundering.

The gang of Datuk T seem so very desperate to get this issue to move forward and get more attention from DS Anwar in particular and the public in general. Sudah-lah sumpah, now nak suruh orang pi buat lie detector test pulak. Tak habis-habis........
Any non partisan bystander would also wonder why the insistance by Eskay.
My take is that his role is to get this whole issue blown up and then he gets his part of the deal, whatever has been promised to him by the powers that be. Of course, he'll deny this and say that it's for the love of this country that he's doing this-lah !!

Snap polls likely delayed as Umno hunts for war chest

Datuk Seri Najib Razak is likely to delay calling snap polls until end of this year or early 2012 as his party hunts for funds to finance a campaign to court Bumiputera and Indian voters and secure a two-thirds parliamentary majority.

The Malaysian Insider understands that Umno’s coffers are depleted after the Barisan Nasional (BN) spent some RM500 million for the April 16 Sarawak election. It is learnt that tycoon Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar Al-Bukhary is among the very few to contribute, partly explaining his conglomerate scooping lucrative deals this past year.

“Umno is looking for contributions as it takes a fair bit to run an election campaign. Until then, there won’t be an election,” a BN source told The Malaysian Insider.

He pointed out that money was slow to reach the ground in Election 2008, prompting party workers to slacken which led to BN’s historic losses of the two-third parliamentary majority and four states to Pakatan Rakyat (PR).

Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim told The Malaysian Insider that he believes Umno’s increasingly ultra-Malay stance as well as the emergence of a sex video aimed at discrediting PR’s image are definite signs that general elections will be called by August.

“I would say anywhere before puasa (fasting month), before August. If not, immediately after fasting month,” Anwar said.

But BN insiders say Najib (picture) is cautious about calling elections soon as he wants to regain the coalition’s two-thirds parliamentary majority which now appears impossible with the Chinese snub continuing in the Sarawak election.

Najib told the Chinese community yesterday to either support MCA or lose representation in a BN government. MCA won 15 out of the 40 federal seats and 31 out of 90 state seats in Election 2008.

“BN is working on the Bumiputera and Indian voters now. Chinese votes will be a bonus now after his statement yesterday,” another BN source told The Malaysian Insider.

The BN source said the coalition is also not getting much support from Chinese tycoons and businessmen who used to contribute funds when Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Tun Abdullah Badawi held power.

“They are not giving much these days not like when Dr Mahathir was in power,” he added.

He said there were fewer projects to hand out by the government and Perkasa’s Malay rights movement has also pushed the Najib administration to favour more Malay businessmen in the past few years.

Among the Malay businessmen taking the limelight is Syed Mokhtar, whose various interests have bagged the Klang Valley Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) project, Pos Malaysia Berhad and a 10-year extension of the lucrative rice distribution project under Bernas.

The other Malay businesses include the Naza group, Westar and several Umno-linked conglomerates.

The BN source also said Najib will also wait as Budget 2011 was not friendly to 1.2 million-strong federal civil service. Lower-ranking staff only received RM500 bonus in the budget although they were expecting at least one-month’s bonus.

The lack of bonus in Budget 2008 was said to have contributed to BN’s loss in the general election that year.

“He’ll wait to present an election budget that is good for civil servants and the people,” the source added.

Umno insiders said the Chinese snub will also delay Najib from getting his own mandate.

“He wants his own mandate but he also wants to make sure its two-thirds. Anything less is a failure,” an Umno warlord told The Malaysian Insider.

He pointed out that while BN won 55 out of 71 seats in Sarawak, its share of the popular vote went down nearly 8 percentage points from 62.93 to 55.24 per cent.

“The popular vote is a factor too. We have to work the ground to reach out, especially to the Chinese,” he added.

The only way to change the rakyat's perception towards gomen servants is by changing the federal government.

If the people donating funds are the same people getting all these contracts, is it not a form of corruption? Does it not mean that our country's funds are being used to reward these businessmen?

Even billions dollar projects awarded to BN cronies won't be consider corruption bcos macc, pdrm & all government agecies are sdn. bhd. of unmo. All top ranks officiers are their running dogs & ball carrier for their master(unmo). But RM2500 job award by PR is consider corruption. If BN still carry on to rule this country & future generation will be suffer regardless Malay, chinese, india & etc except BN cronies. So it time to go on with political rotation now....

Malay special rights must be respected, says Dr Chua

Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek has stressed that Malay special rights is protected under the federal constitution, explaining today his offer to vote for PKR was to expose Pakatan Rakyat’s (PR) deception.

The MCA president said the statement in a YouTube clip posted by his party was taken out of context as it was a response to a question during a meeting with his Facebook fans.

“There was this young man that said MCA was not pushing hard enough to ensure equality and abolishment of Malays special rights.

“I said very simply that the Malay special rights is entrenched in the constitution under article 153 and in order to remove that you require two-thirds and you also need the ruler’s council approval even if you get approved in parliament,” he said today.

In the clip, Dr Chua (picture) said, “If PKR dares to amend the constitution and cancel Malay privileges, I will be the first to raise my hands to vote for PKR,”

He added the public has been misled by PR’s promise of false hope.

“I said that they have been misled and the opposition only gives hope that as if they are pushing for abolishment of Malay special rights because you can see the DAP everyday is talking about equality among the races. I said that if they dare to do it then we will also be supporting them.

“Because they are not doing it but they are just spinning it and bluffing the rakyat and rising the hope and expectation of the Chinese community towards MCA and Barisan Nasional. It is a false hope,” he said.

MCA has been under heavy scrutiny following the April 16 Sarawak election where BN lost nearly all Chinese-majority seats to PR.

The result echoed the loss of Chinese votes in the March 2008 general election, where MCA won just 15 seats in Parliament — fewer than half the 31 MPs it had before.

In the aftermath, De Chua and Utusan Malaysia both called for the Chinese-dominated Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) to be dropped from the state Cabinet for its dismal performance.

However, MCA and the Umno-owned newspaper have clashed over the latter’s call for a “1 Melayu, 1 Bumi” campaign to unite Malays against the growing threat of Chinese political power.

Dr Chua also said his party would not accept any post in the federal and state governments if it scored worse in the coming 13th general election.

Fair and transparent governance for ALL Malaysian without consideration of race or religion is what the Rakyat wants.. Can you deliver that? If not, shut your trap and let someone else who can do the job lead!!

MCA gambling away Malaysia’s future

Lim Guan Eng slammed political foe MCA and its president today for what the DAP leader labelled a reckless and desperate gamble to ensure its survival by asking Chinese Malaysians for support to ensure a place in a Barisan Nasional (BN) government.

The Penang chief minister said if the MCA won in the coming general elections, they will not be able to attribute it to support from the Chinese community they are supposed to represent, but the voters’ fear of losing their voice in government.

“What is the point then of electing wakil rakyats [elected representatives] who neither listen to the people nor do the people’s work but will only listen to Umno and do Umno’s dirty work of corruption and abuse of power?” Lim asked in a statement today.

“What hope is there for Malaysians, if BN, Umno and MCA are allowed to continue to steal our children’s future?” he added.

The MCA, led by its president, Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek, had pledged to stay out of government if it failed to improve its flagging support among Chinese voters in the 13th general election, expected now to be called anytime from August to early next year.

Dr Chua and his men had warned the Chinese that they stood to lose if MCA had no seat at the government table.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, who is also Umno chief, reminded the community yesterday to either support MCA or lose representation in a Barisan Nasional (BN) government.

MCA won 15 out of the 40 federal seats and 31 out of 90 state seats in Election 2008.

The DAP secretary-general said Dr Chua’s political gamble has opened the way for Umno’s top leaders to jump in and stir up racial tension by pitting Malays against Chinese and Malays against Malays, as signalled in Najib’s latest overture to PAS to rejoin the BN.

“Unfortunately this has also deepened racial polarisation by giving Umno the opportunity to show that they are ultra-Malay defenders by inviting PAS to join Umno in BN,” he said.

The Islamist party is the DAP’s partner in the Pakatan Rakyat (PR) pact, together with PKR.

Lim said the gesture was a betrayal of the PM’s own 1 Malaysia movement and indicated the set up of “a grand coalition of racist and extremist Malays”.

The opposition lawmaker also challenged Dr Chua to prove his sincerity as and pull the Chinese party out of the BN if it loses again in the national polls.

“What is the point of just withdrawing from Cabinet when you do not withdraw from BN?” the Bagan MP taunted, reminded of Dr Chua’s statement that MCA will stick with the 13-party coalition even if it lost.

“Voters are voting against BN as this is the symbol and not MCA’s symbol when contesting in elections,” Lim said.

It is BN who is propagating racial polarization all the time. The ways Najib and CSL are threatening the Chinese voters have blatantly shown that determination that BN has not changed and remained to be racial-focused...

So-called 1Malaysia...

Malaysia has no future if the corrupted BN continue to be in power.

A race based country has force the outflow of local talent (Malay, Chinese and Indian included). A country with policy that favor only certain race will not have any future and will continue lagging behind those that favor open competition.

Malaysia is not attractive at all in all aspects for a foreign investor. We can choose to close our eyes and ears but we are the only one that going to suffer.

Unlike Umno, MCA says no to PAS....Because this party like sex outside of marriage, gambling and all the evil that is like UMNO

MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek closed the door on PAS joining Barisan Nasional (BN), ironically saying today the party must first abandon its Islamic principles.

He said Datuk Seri Najib Razak is aware that his party will not accept PAS turning the country into an Islamic state although the prime minister cited Islam as a reason for the offer.

“MCA’s stand has been very clear that we will not accept PAS trying to make this country into a theocratic Islamic state. We will not accept that and PM is fully aware of MCA’s stance.

“They can join BN if they abandon their policy of turning this country into a theocratic Islamic state,” he told reporters here.

Najib threw open the doors for PAS to join Barisan Nasional and further the concerns of Malays and Muslims, telling the Islamist party yesterday it could not achieve its aims while partnering with DAP.

“Why play nice with DAP? Does DAP champion Islam?” Najib asked in Kuala Terengganu.

Dr Chua, however, said his party will not stop Umno and PAS from talking to each other.

“Well, that is good for Malay and Muslim unity but there is no harm that they want to talk. We cannot prevent people from talking.

“PM and Umno is fully aware but if they want to meet then there is no harm in meeting. In a democratic country, people can meet from time to time to talk about common meeting points,” he added.

Najib’s invitation follows a call last weekend by Umno-owned daily Utusan Malaysia for a “1 Melayu, 1 Bumi” campaign to unite Malays against what the newspaper said was racial politics by DAP to stir up Chinese sentiment.

It also continues concerted efforts by Umno post-Election 2008 to get PAS to join forces in the name of Malay-Muslim unity.

The subject of unity talks between PAS and Umno had dominated the 2009 PAS Muktamar, which saw a number of leaders who are keen on exploring talks with Umno emerged as big winners.

More recently, top PAS and Umno leadership met at a Christmas Eve dinner hosted by the Yang diPertuan Agong last year, during which the subject of Malay unity was once again broached.

The move then to bring PAS into BN entailed both PAS president Hadi and his deputy Nasharuddin Mat Isa being given a prominent role in Putrajaya if the party decides to abandon Pakatan Rakyat (PR), but that spiritual advisor Datuk Nik Aziz Nik Mat continues to be the major obstacle in bringing PAS closer to the ruling coalition.

Following the furore over the Christmas Eve meet, Hadi had reassured partners in PR that the Islamist party was committed to remain in the pact.

Do not dream PAS will join the party filled with all unrighteousness....people will bury them in the general election 13 th

PAS shoots down Najib’s invitation...remember...previously Najib father kick out PAS from BN ... now its his illicit son want to repeat the same thing ....no way...!!!

Khalid said the DAP has never been against Islam.

PAS leaders were amused today and ridiculed the invitation by Datuk Seri Najib Razak for the party to ditch Pakatan Rakyat (PR) by joining the ruling Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition.

The prime minister earlier said that PAS must work together with Umno for the sake of the Malay and Muslim community, telling the Islamist party that it could not achieve its aim while partnering with the DAP.

“Why play nice with DAP? Does DAP champion Islam?” Najib asked in Kuala Terengganu today.

Najib’s invitation follows a call last weekend by Umno-owned daily Utusan Malaysia for a “1 Melayu, 1 Bumi” campaign to unite the Malays against what the newspaper said was racial politics by the DAP to stir up Chinese sentiment.

Shah Alam MP Khalid Samad bluntly told that Najib was crazy and could no longer think properly.

“He (Najib) is becoming crazy and has run out of ideas. He is no longer making sense. I really do not know what to say about his comments. He is very confused. I think this is a sign that they are facing an internal problem especially with (Tan Sri) Muhyiddin (Yassin) contradicting everything he does.

“And since when did DAP declare that they were championing Islam?” he said.

The PAS central committee member added that the DAP has never obstructed the teachings of Islam compared to Umno that wants to confuse Muslims with its brand of the religion.

“DAP has always supported PAS in its efforts to bring Muslims to the teachings of Islam.

“But Umno wants to pollute Islam with their practice of sumpah laknat oath and falsely accuse someone of committing extra-marital sex without four witnesses,” he said.

Khalid added that the DAP has never been against Islam and its struggles are in line with Islamic teachings of forbidding corruption and cronyism.

Salahuddin reiterated PAS’s loyalty to PR.

PAS vice-president Salahuddin Ayub was more courteous, thanking Najib for the invitation but reiterated his party’s loyalty to PR.

“Thank you for the invitation but we will remain loyal to Pakatan Rakyat and will not leave the spirit of solidarity that has been formed with PKR and DAP.

“However I think the invitation is a desperate attempt by Najib. I am not surprised with this invitation,” he said.

Salahuddin added that PR’s common platform has ensured that Islam remains the religion of the federation.

Najib’s invitation continues concerted efforts by Umno post-Election 2008 to get PAS to join forces in the name of Malay-Muslim unity.

The subject of unity talks between PAS and Umno dominated the 2009 PAS Muktamar, which saw a number of leaders keen on exploring talks with Umno emerging big winners.

More recently, top PAS and Umno leadership met at a Christmas Eve dinner hosted by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong last year, during which the subject of Malay unity was once again broached.

Sources told the move then to bring PAS into the BN entailed both PAS president Datuk Abdul Hadi Awang and his deputy Nasharuddin Mat Isa being given a prominent role in Putrajaya if the party decides to abandon PR, but spiritual adviser Datuk Nik Aziz Nik Mat continues to be the major obstacle in bringing PAS closer to the ruling coalition.

Following the furore over the Christmas Eve meet, Hadi reassured his partners in PR that the Islamist party was committed to remaining in the pact.

PAS strategist Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad stressed that PAS will never succumb to Umno’s narrow interpretation of Islam.

“Umno’s Malay supremacy and narrow interpretation that Malay is Islam is against PAS’s principle that Islam is universal, meant for all races.

Dzulkefly said Umno has given Islam a bad image.

“Umno has given a bad image to Islam and PAS must continue to ensure that the religion is safeguarded. PAS cannot accept Umno’s exploitation of the name Allah and barring non-Muslims from entering mosques,” he said.

He added Umno together with Perkasa and its ultra-Malay members have a very extreme understanding of Islam.

“PAS will not give a lifeline to Umno and its fight for Malay supremacy. Umno only wants to represent the Malays while PAS will fight for Islam, Malays, Chinese, Indians and other communities in the country,” said the Kuala Selangor MP.

In an interview with The Malaysian Insider last year, Nik Aziz also said there was no possibility of PAS working with Umno or joining BN.

“Absolutely not. There is no way that PAS would even consider unity talks with Umno,” he had said.

He recounted how PAS had in the past briefly joined BN and that it resulted in a divided PAS.

According to Nik Aziz, back in 1971 PAS had joined BN’s bandwagon when the late Tun Abdul Razak — Najib’s father — extended an invitation to the Islamist party.

“Umno was desperate back then, especially after the May 13 riots in 1969. When PAS joined BN, PAS Kelantan was split into four groups, and we were not united because each group supported a different idea,” he said.

Nik Aziz pointed out that Umno eventually “kicked PAS out” of the BN coalition.

Don't succumb and don't forget the old wound how UMNO treated you when PAS join UMNO in late seventies

I will stop supporting PAS if they accept the invitation

Pas is not corrupted like UMNO. UMNO is the father of corruption, misuse of power and power crazy. My family carried the Pas flag during the last election and would continue to do so. Our MP is Dr. Siti Mariah from Pas. We don't have any problems with Pas. If Pas joins BN it would be end of the party. Beware of the dirty UNNO plan.

signs of desperation by UMNO/BN la bro. That's why they pretended by inviting PAS to join the ruling coalition. Didn't you read what Tok Guru Nik Aziz said? He made it loud and clear and 'crystal clear' that no way PAS will nego or join BN. History had taught them a good lesson of who these people are and what kind of Islam they practice. Confusion, confusion and more confusion.

Haiya bro, wake up lah! Give oil royalty first to Kelantan people before even talk of unity. Afterall more than 90% of Kelantanese are Muslims, why discriminate them then if really UMNO/BN wants to help the Muslims of this beloved country. Now out of the blue wants to talk about unity. Go eat rojak lah better!

PERKOSA warns MCA, Gerakan toe the line or lose Malay votes

ibrahim warning the MCA and Gerakan at the Perhimpunan Melayu Perkasa Kedah today, April 30, 2011. Watching Ibrahim speak is Perkasa patron Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

Perkasa warned the MCA and Gerakan today that it would tell the Malays not to vote for their candidates in the next general election if they fail to stand up for the Malays and Islam.

Perkasa president Datuk Ibrahim Ali said Barisan Nasional’s (BN) Chinese-based parties would not win any seats without Malay votes and cautioned them to “be friends with Perkasa.”

“We will see whether candidates defend Malays and Islam. If not Perkasa will give the green light to pancung (cut off) them in the general election,” he said at a gathering organised by the Malay rights group here.

Although the Pasir Mas MP extended this threat to all candidates for a general election expected within a year, he singled out the MCA and Gerakan as those that needed Malay votes to win.

“With no Malay votes, not even one can win. They better be friends with Perkasa,” he said.

A majority of Perkasa members are also in Umno, the dominant partner in BN.

Perkasa had supported Utusan Malaysia’s call for a 1 Melayu, 1 Bumi movement after BN lose nearly all Chinese-majority seats in the April 16 Sarawak election.

The result echoed the loss of Chinese votes in the March 2008 general election where MCA won just 15 seats in Parliament — fewer than half the 31 MPs it had before — and Gerakan were wiped out in its former stronghold of Penang.

Umno-owned Utusan Malaysia called for the 1 Melayu, 1 Bumi campaign to unite the Malays against what the Umno-owned daily said was racial politics by DAP to stir up Chinese sentiment.

This led to a running feud with Chinese-dominated parties especially the MCA who called for a boycott of the newspaper.

Ibrahim recently attacked MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek for blaming the loss of Chinese support on Perkasa and the Malay daily, saying that the party’s “immoral leaders” were the cause instead.

He was referring to the sex video that surfaced at the end of 2007 which led to Dr Chua resigning as health minister and MCA vice-president.

Although Ibrahim again criticised Dr Chua for using Perkasa as a “punching bag” today, he supported the announcement that the MCA would decline any government posts if it did not perform in the next general election.

“This is an honourable move. I hope this makes the Chinese aware that they will not be represented if they don’t support BN,” he told reporters after the Perhimpunan Melayu Perkasa Kedah gathering.

Earlier, he had told over 1,000 Malays that the Chinese should be satisfied that “they can do anything in business.”

“They control gambling, alcohol and entertainment centres. These are worth billions. Do Malays stop them? Does the government stop them?

“Still they are not satisfied. What more do they want?” he said.

MCA betrayed Chinese to be in UMNO good books now also get threatened to up the betrayal by being compliant! Ha ha ....I wonder MCA has any spine or dignity left.

Remember the UMNO-MCA feud in 1987 which led to OPs Lalang?
Perkasa seems to be stoking the ambers for Ops Lalang II.
But who the heck is Perkasa, if not the brainchild of Mahathir, who also re-invented UMNO Baru after euthanising UMNO Lama.

The more PERKASA talk in this manner, they will lose more non Malay votes and even losing more Malay votes.
Go and focus on the real problems Malaysian facing. Declining quality of education systems, inflations, jobs, life quality and etc

Finally, Perkasa has become a king maker. Even the PM cannot tell Umno members not to vote for MCA & Gerakan but Ibrahim can. Soon Ibrahim will tell Najib to support Perkasa or he will get Umno members to vote him out. The ball is now in your court MCA & Gerakan. Either both of you keep quiet or the next Cabinet will not have MCA & Gerakan holding any portfolio.

Pressure rises on Putrajaya over Lynas plant

Civil groups and the public have increased their protests against the setting up of a rare earth plant in Pahang and Perak

As the federal government delays announcing an independent review panel into the controversial Lynas rare earth refinery in Pahang, another environmental group has joined the chorus for its halt.

In a media statement today, Sustainable Development Network (Susden) of Malaysia president Muhammad Sha’ani Abdullah questioned the Barisan Nasional (BN) government on its sloppy approval of the RM700 million plant being built in Gebeng.

“The question which comes to mind is how such investment and construction application were approved without a rigorous examination,” asked Muhammad Sha’ani, who is also a member of the Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (Suhakam).

Lynas says the review will not delay the refinery’s opening scheduled for September

“Indeed how the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) was done and did it not trigger the authorities to investigate in details these concerns,” he added, and condemned Putrajaya for its “indifference against nature and the well-being of Malaysians”.

He pointed to the disastrous Asian Rare Earth (ARE) refinery in Ipoh which has been blamed for the rise of cancer and birth defects in the area some 20 years ago, due to radiation pollution and toxins leaching into the ground.

Susden Malaysia also expressed alarm over the government’s decision to limit the review panel’s study to one month, despite strong opposition to the Australian mining company’s controversial RM700 million plant.

“A one-month review on health and safety aspects is, to us, a red herring and a means to tire down as well as side track the citizen’s protests,” he said.

“We are deeply concerned that the said independent study only came about after the initiatives from the citizens, where only then an operating license will be approved,” he added.

Last week, International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed announced Lynas would be barred from shipping the ore — said to contain low-levels of radioactive thorium — into the country pending the review board’s report on the health, safety and environmental impact to the state.

Lynas can continue building its plant but it will not get a pre-operating license until the month-long independent review is complete, Mustapa added.

The Sydney-based company, however, said the review panel will not slow the start-up of its rare earths refinery, scheduled for September.

The Pahang Bar has called for a year-long review of the plant.

Susden Malaysia urged the government to start acting more responsibly and be transparent by providing full disclosure on the issue of Bukit Merah and Lynas Malaysia so that citizens are informed, and gelling all the different government agencies dealing with approval guidelines as well as monitoring and safety standards.

The non-government organisation also wants the independent review panel to include all stakeholders and table its findings before the public.

“Our economy and development is built on our greatest treasure our natural resources and our people. This failure to ensure a sustainable path is not development but a backlash,” it said.

The rare earths industry is key to a global switch to cleaner energy — from batteries in hybrid cars to magnets in wind turbines.

But mining and processing the metals causes environmental harm that even China, the world’s biggest producer, is no longer willing to bear.

China’s rare earths industry produces more than five times the amount of waste gas, including deadly fluorine and sulphur dioxide, than the total flared annually by all miners and oil refiners in the US, according to a Bloomberg report

Civil groups have stepped up their protests against the plant, including marching on Parliament while in session, prompted by radiation leakages from Japan’s nuclear power plants last month following a massive earthquake and tsunami.

STOP LYNAS! Thanks for reinforcing the facts of the dangers of such a hazardous plant right here in Kuantan, Malaysia. Let the carelessness and irresponsibility of the BN government. be further exposed.
and Root out the person who approved the project.
Who approved the project in the first place?

BN has been caught with their pants down, literally. They thought that by quietly approving the so-called investment at the same pocketing the "Approving Fee" upfront, collecting the Commission also upfront the rakyat would not be able to find out.
They thoguht that it was a safe deal. A done deal. A deal far away from urbanite.
What they forgot was the speed of today's news in the internet.

The slow down of desired FDI has led the govt to bring in FDI of this kind. The kind that is dangerous and unhealthy to the rakyat. Why? Because this type of FDI is the only kind that will come. This kind of FDI feeds on desperate govt who is willing to compromise the safety of its people for fast money.

Another reason is that Malaysia is running out of oil reserve real soon... hence, there is an urgent need to find new resources to support the cronies lavish lifestyle and use the money to keep on staying in power.

Be prepared that there will be similar new mining projects pop up all over Malaysia in the near future

Choose MCA or be left out of government, Najib threatened Chinese

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak said today the Chinese community must choose to vote the MCA if they still wanted to represented in Putrajaya, or be left out.

Najib, who is also Umno and the ruling Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition’s chief, said its Chinese partner had sent out a clear message to voters that they cannot have it both ways.

“I see the MCA sending the message that the Chinese cannot support the opposition and at the same time expect strong representation in the government. They have to choose,” he was reported as saying by state news agency Bernama.

Najib (picture) was responding to MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek’s pledge earlier today that the Chinese party would not accept any post in the federal and state governments if it scored worse in the coming 13th general election.

Currently, the senior party in the BN only has 15 MPs and 31 state assemblymen from the last general election in 2008.

It had contested in 40 parliamentary seats and 90 state seats in GE12.

Dr Chua said the decision to quit all posts will be raised at the party’s AGM on October 2.

“We want to tell our members that to win back the confidence of voters, we have to improve,” he was reported saying at a press conference in Malacca today by The Star English daily after a party brainstorming camp there.

The MCA presidential council has also backed Dr Chua’s promise to give up all government posts if it fails to win votes from the Chinese community it is supposed to represent.

Dr Chua was also reported to have said the MCA would stay in BN even if its performance remained dismal.

The former health minister has come under repeated attacks from the opposition Pakatan Rakyat (PR) bloc and his predecessor in the MCA, Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat, in the last two weeks since the Sarawak state election.

Dr Chua has been challenged to stake the MCA’s government positions after controversially telling its Chinese coalition partner in Sarawak, SUPP, to drop all positions in the state Cabinet after a poor showing in the state polls.

However, the MCA and Umno-owned newspaper Utusan Malaysia have clashed over the latter’s call for a “1 Melayu, 1 Bumi” campaign to unite the Malays against the growing threat of Chinese political power.

You must be joking... a party who have no backbone, corrupted like UMNO, leaders who follow UMNO's culture... I will definitely stay with DAP & PAS.

Instead of issuing threats, why not he resign now, cos he may have the support of his central delegates, but grassroots support is practically nil. He has lost all credibility.

Great! Stop all developments now if you think that all developments benefits goes to Chinese. Stop your 1Malaysia. You need not threaten the Chinese to support MCA and Gerakan. Majority have abandon them. MCA and Gerakan know this and you know that. Need not repeat. You have shown all your true colours. For the dinity, MCA and Gerakan, please leave BN now.
