BN Sire monkey sell false promises again....Najib pledges 20,000 affordable houses, monorail for Penang

Datuk Seri Najib Razak promised today 20,000 units of affordable housing and a monorail system for Penang if Barisan Nasional (BN) recaptures the state in the next general election.

The prime minister also promised more goodies for the island state — a major manufacturing and tourist hub that his BN coalition lost in Election 2008 to Pakatan Rakyat (PR)

“Not less than 20,000 units of affordable housing will be built in Penang,” Najib (picture) said in his opening address at the Promises Fulfilled Tour at Universiti Sains Malaysia here this morning.

He said the housing promise was unconditional, and proved BN was a government that cared for Penang.

Real estate prices in the land-strapped island state is among the highest nationwide, and its narrow roads are increasingly choked with cars due to a rise in population and disposable income.

“We know that traffic congestion is a major issue for Penang so if Penangites give to BN their trust again, we will resolve the traffic congestion problem by introducing a monorail system here,” he said.

Najib said Penang needs a monorail system to arrest the existing congestion problem.

He also promised more goodies for Penang but would only announce them at his next visit.

“I need to keep some of this good news for my next visit as I am sure to come here again,” the BN chairman said.

He expressed his confidence in BN to recapture the state especially under the leadership of Penang BN chief Teng Chang Yeow.

“Teng has successfully regained the confidence and spirit amongst BN members and returned the confidence of Penangites in BN,” Najib said

You have underestimated Penangites. We are well aware that we have every right to development funds unconditionally like any other states, we are among the biggest contributor state to the federal coffers, and most important, we will never succumb to threat. If the federal government refuses to fund the monorail, we just need to CHANGE THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT!

Datuk Seri Najib Razak promised today 20,000 units of affordable housing and a monorail system for Penang IF Barisan Nasional (BN) recaptures the state in the next general election.

Please read the statement carefully.

He said IF BN wins the next general election.

Is he the Prime Minister of Malaysia or Prime Minister of Barisan Nasional.

Are those not BN supporters not Malaysians?

Does this mean I don't have to pay income tax since I am not a BN supporter and the PM is not going to help me?

This man is no doubt the worst PM of Malaysia. We are really very unfortunate.

Let's work together and kick out this monkey.

Sceptics of the two-party system should see the wonders of having one in this country. If Pakatan is not strong and BN-UMNO is allowed to lord over the people, do you think Najib would dish out such goodies to the people of Penang?

This is the BN crap talk. With 50 years of Penang under BN, why didn't BN/Najib add another 100,000 units of low cost housing under Koh Tsu Koon or even Lim Chong Eu ? Even if Najib is sincere , he could have done it while Penang is under DAP and why now only dangle the carrot ?

Is Najib not the PM of all Malaysians or is he the PM of BN states only ? Sad to hear a PM of Malaysia talking to a section of Malaysians in Penang along this hook and bait line !!!

That is why we need a two-party system. I believe when Anwar is the PM of all Malaysians he will be more magnaminous by handing out development projects fairly to all states and cost much cheaper to implement.

Damage to nation when ministers meddle in police work

Malaysia will be “damaged”  when  ministers interfere with police operations directly as is allegedly happening now,
With  accused of bypassing police top brass and giving orders to the rank-and-file, warned again that such direct interference will doom the country.

Like Bersih, let only the IGP give orders. No need [for anyone else] to give orders. If the IGP’s action is wrong, let action be taken only on the IGP. Don’t give orders from the top again. The people at the bottom also have a headache on how to work..

However  it was not wrong for the home minister to intervene in police administrative matters like promotion issues or discipline because the latter was also the chairman of the Police Commission but it was not right when the interference extended to operational issues, which is the solely the purview of the IGP.

Last time it was not as frequent as now. .During the days of the previous home ministers we never were like this. But recently there have been.

If the IGP is not brave, it happens, if the IGP is bold, then it will not happenWe feel most IGPs will never follow what the ministers order done if it is not right according to the law..

The ex-IGP had last week dropped a bombshell that several ministers and politicians, including Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein had taken direct command of the police force.

So who give the order in the Bersih demonstration.........when the demo was so orderly and peaceful. BN leaders especially those from UMNO think Malaysia belongs to them or their grandfather.........is this how BN govern the country and make the opposition & rakyat their enemies.

In Malaysia, the power of ministers are above the King, they can interfere with police operations directly and take direct command of the police force.

Damage is already done! The only remedy for the Rakyat to take is to send BN packing.

1 Malaysia corrupt leader...Malaysian firms lose deals due to bribery

Malaysia tops the list in a Transparency International (TI) survey of 30 countries where companies felt they had lost deals because they did not pay bribes.

The Bribe Payers Survey was carried out locally by pollsters Gallup among 101 companies that deal with the private and public sector.

“Fifty per cent say ‘yes’, which is very high,” Datuk Paul Low, the president of TI’s Malaysian chapter, said at a press conference today.

“I think this should be a cause of concern for us,” he said, adding that it suggests corruption is deeply entrenched in the country’s system and institutions.

The question asked was: “During the last 12 months, do you think that your company has failed to win a contract or gain new business because a competitor has paid a bribe?”

Malaysia has the highest score at 50 per cent, followed by Mexico and Indonesia at 48 and 47 per cent respectively.

Japan had the lowest number of companies that believed they had lost business due to bribery at two per cent, while Singapore and South Korea scored nine and 11 per cent respectively.

In the same survey, Malaysia received a rating of 4.1 when the respondents were asked for their opinion on how common it is for public officials to demand or accept bribes.

Malaysia also scored a rating of 4.3 when those polled were asked: “How common is the misuse of public funds by high-ranking public officials and politicians?”

For these two questions, the rating is on a scale of one to five, with one indicating ‘never’ and five indicating ‘very common’.

When asked to rate the Putrajaya’s effectiveness in the fight against corruption in the private sector, 75 per cent felt the government was ineffective, while six per cent said it was effective.

According to Low, TI had chose the 30 countries because of the high level of international trade and investment in their countries.

This proof that the GTP on corruption is getting nowhere with the deeply entrenched corrupt culture. It must be a real record having beaten Indonesia and Mexico!!

Those who are in the position and have power to award contracts are most likely to pray 5 times a day but when come to $$$$$, it's no longer god fearing. After all, if get exposé, they are very sure nothing will happen to them and all they have to do is to pay a site visit to the holy land to show people they are indeed god fearing lots!

Malaysia Boleh!! Now we achieve world number 1, we can truly say we are world class!!

PM Najib can have a new slogan - 1Bribe - 1 Bring RM In Big Envelope.

The sad part of corruption is that it is HARAM in Islam but UMNO members who are Muslims did it as if everything is alright

example of cronyism that is destroying Malaysia......Pak Lah’s kin linked to power meter supply storm

The family of former Prime Minister Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi was linked today to a company that supplies the controversial digital electricity meters to Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) alleged to have hiked up energy consumption bills and gained the national utility company billions of ringgit in profit.

Noor Asiah Mahmood, who is the younger sister to Abdullah’s (picture) first wife, the late Tun Endon Mahmood, owns Ombata-Ambak Holdings Sdn Bhd, which has a 15 per cent share in Malaysian Intelligence Meters Sdn Bhd, the latter which is one of five companies contracted by TNB to supply the new digital meters.

The programme to switch analogue power meters for digital ones had showed consumers would be contributing RM6.88 billion to TNB’s profit over the course of 10 years. The programme has been stopped temporarily on the orders of Energy, Green Technology and Water Minister Datuk Seri Peter Chin Fah Kui since October.

The research shows TNB has 8.03 million consumers now and the average price for each meter is RM250, therefore this programme had the potential to reach RM2 billion.

For the financial year 2012, TNB’s revenue from all consumers is RM34.4 billion, if the electronic meter had given a conservative raise of two per cent, the additional burden on consumers would be as much as RM688 million a year.

Seeing as the life expectancy of this meter is only 10 years, consumers would ultimately have to pay as much as RM6.88 billion to TNB for that duration..

The issue was not a small matter as consumers would have to pay up to 50 per cent of the cost of their power bills. Therefore,we urge TNB to be transparent and responsible in this matter to reveal who are the electronic meter suppliers, the price paid for the meters and whether it was competitively priced at local and international standards, and whether an open tender had been called or was it a direct negotiation?..

Last October, TNB had halted the replacement of analogue electricity meters with electronic meters until a standard operating procedure could be fixed.

The public complaints saying power consumption had spiked after switching to the new digital meters, causing them to be also billed “retrospectively”.

Another example of cronyism that is destroying Malaysia, and I do not know how much longer can this country last when all our hard earned money been sucked dry by those well-linked cronies.

Thats why we cannot vote for BN...We must vote PAKATAN so they can keep BN checked for abusement....

SC should investigate this matter too because TNB is a public listed company. No wonder all foreign investors fleeing our market!!!

this is how the top BN politician make money,do that more often and see what u get in the GE!13

day light robbery....Selangor BN buying cheap public land to build condo

Selangor Umno had sold off a two-acre piece of prime land in Kelana Jaya here to gain profits instead of building community centres as claimed, when rebutting Barisan Nasional’s (BN) denial in a multimillion ringgit land grab scandal exposed recently.

The plot of land is among the 24 pieces that Selangor Pakatan Rakyat (PR) representatives have alleged were sold at below market rate to BN component parties during the pact’s rule.

The plot in Kelana Jaya was sold to Selangor Umno at RM1 per square feet or a total of RM87,000, far below the market value of RM17.5 million.

BN’s defence was that the land was used for welfare purposes, such as the construction of multipurpose halls and kindergartens for local residents.

But instead, in this case, the land bought by Selangor Umno was sold to a developer to construct this medium-cost condominium..

The gross development value of the 200-unit condominium was over RM900 million, with each unit costing some RM450,000.

This meant that Selangor Umno had likely turned hefty profits from selling the plot to the developer firm, which lists several Chinese businessmen as directors.

If  BN is going to claim that it has been protecting the interests of the Malays in Selangor, then where is proof of this? They bought the land at such a cheap rate in 2004, sold it in 2005 to the developer and in 2006, this condominium was launched.

The profits earned from the sale  should  be returned to the state government or disbursed directly to Selangor folk. The condominium proved that BN was willing to abuse its power to enrich its own members.

Where is the transformation that BN has been harping about? When PR took over in Selangor after Election 2008, Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim had put an immediate halt to the sale of any land to political parties and politicians.

If BN has no problem lying inside the legislative assembly, imagine what they could do outside. There was no apology; they denied, lied and even justified that it is absolutely okay for them to take the land.

Selangor backbenchers had alleged last month that BN parties Umno, the MCA, MIC and Gerakan were sold a total of 24 pieces of land, collectively worth RM300 million, in seven of nine districts in the state at merely RM1 per square foot during BN’s rule between 2000 and 2008.

They alleged that of the 24 plots, 15 are now owned by Umno branches or divisions, with six of them going to the Sungai Besar Umno division, which was led by former Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Khir Toyo.

Also implicated in the scandal are former MIC president Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu, together with an S. Subramaniam and the late Tan Sri S.O.K. Ubaidullah, who was one of the MIC’s founders, who are allegedly named as the trustees for a 2,832 square metre plot in Kuala Selangor.

As usual NFA by MACC or otherwise. It's no wonder UMNO members can afford property in the UK and Australia.

Luckily we have opposition party can tab on UMNO / BN for mal-practices. This PAKATAN is really working for RAKYAT.

We must vote more PAKATAN candidates to keep a close eys on BN, or else BN sold Malaysia we also dont know.

What is Chua Tee Yong going to say about this?

Corrupted unmo/bn are specialists of cheat, cheat, cheat, lies, lies, lies, the most dirty creatures on earth. Tired to silence to all these cheap & stupid excuses. You're are whole bunch of liars & deserve to be totally out of politics.
