dirty tactic from UMNOPORNO.....Najib lays down BN carpet for PAS
Datuk Seri Najib Razak today threw open the doors for PAS to join Barisan Nasional and further the concerns of Malays and Muslims, telling the Islamist party it could not achieve its aims while partnering with DAP.
“Why play nice with DAP? Does DAP champion Islam?” Najib asked in Kuala Terengganu today.
The prime minister is currently in the Terengganu state capital, where he is visiting together with Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Said and other Cabinet ministers.
“(Datuk Seri) Hadi (Awang), enough of the DAP, leave the DAP, join BN,” Najib was quoted as saying by state news agency Bernama today.
Najib’s invitation follows a call last weekend by Umno-owned daily Utusan Malaysia for a “1 Melayu, 1 Bumi” campaign to unite Malays against what the newspaper said was racial politics by DAP to stir up Chinese sentiment.
It also continues concerted efforts by Umno post-Election 2008 to get PAS to join forces in the name of Malay-Muslim unity.
The subject of unity talks between PAS and Umno had dominated the 2009 PAS Muktamar, which saw a number of leaders who are keen on exploring talks with Umno emerging big winners.
More recently, top PAS and Umno leadership met at a Christmas Eve dinner hosted by the Yang diPertuan Agong last year, during which the subject of Malay unity was once again broached.
Sources told The Malaysian Insider the move then to bring PAS into the BN entailed both PAS president Hadi and his deputy Nasharuddin Mat Isa being given a prominent role in Putrajaya if the party decides to abandon Pakatan Rakyat (PR), but that spiritual advisor Datuk Nik Aziz Nik Mat continues to be the major obstacle in bringing PAS closer to the ruling coalition.
Following the furore over the Christmas Eve meet, Hadi had reassured partners in PR that the Islamist party was committed to remaining in the pact.
In an interview with The Malaysian Insider last year, Nik Aziz also said there was no possibility of PAS working with Umno or joining BN.
“Absolutely not. There is no way that PAS would even consider unity talks with Umno,” said Nik Aziz.
He recounted how PAS had in the past briefly joined Barisan Nasional (BN) and that it resulted in a divided PAS.
According to Nik Aziz, back in 1971 PAS had joined BN’s bandwagon when the late Tun Abdul Razak — Najib’s father — extended an invitation to the Islamist party.
“Umno was desperate back then, especially after the May 13 riots in 1969. When PAS joined BN, PAS Kelantan was split into four splinter groups, and we were not united because each group supported a different idea,” he said.
Nik Aziz pointed out that Umno eventually “kicked PAS out” of the BN coalition.

true Islam will save Malaysia, but Umno is not practising anywhere near that!!
It is not Islam tt Najib is concern. It is power. He is losing hope to get the non-Malay votes. So, now he turning to the Malays and play the racial card. If he is genuine abt Islam, Islam is against corruption n abuse of power. Islam is also against using slander n sex video to bring down another fellow Muslim. He is not championing Islam. He is championing massing greater wealth for himself n his cronies at the expense of the rakyat!
Why do good to the DAP? Is the DAP can fight for Islam?
DAP, but embarrassment is not an enemy with sodomy, sex-free and wild accusations .. better reconcile the DAP from the liars and the theft of public money
Najib sponsored humiliated Islam
Datuk Seri Najib Razak said today that everybody has the right to perform a sumpah laknat oath but the government will not interfere by encouraging or deterring the act.
The prime minister was referring to the sumpah laknat oath taken by Datuk Shazryl Eskay Abdullah today by swearing in God’s name that Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is the man featured in a sex video that was recently shown to journalists.
Najib (picture), who is also the Umno president, stressed that individuals and political parties should take the same approach as the government.
He added that it would not matter if Shazryl or Anwar wants to perform the oath because in the end the public will evaluate the sincerity of the individuals.
“This is a personal issue and the matter does not concern Umno or the government. Whoever feels that they want to sumpah laknat then that is up to them. We don’t encourage and we won’t stop them.
“I think everybody must have the same attitude. Political parties should take attitude that this is a personal matter,” he told reporters after chairing Umno supreme council meeting here.
Shazryl, together with former Malacca Chief Minister Tan Sri Abdul Rahim Thamby Chik and Perkasa treasurer-general Datuk Shuib Lazim, arrived at Masjid Amru Al-As earlier today amid heavy security.
The three appeared to be wearing bullet-proof vests beneath their traditional baju Melayu.
Shazryl took the oath on behalf of “Datuk T”, the nickname the trio behind the latest sex scandal had adopted.
“I swear today that I and Anwar Ibrahim were in the video on February 21, 2011 and Anwar is the actor (in the video).
“If what I said today is false, then may Allah curse me,” he said to a witnessing imam while holding the Quran.
Najib also criticised PKR supporters that tried to sabotage the oath-taking for disrespecting the sanctity of the mosque.
“We must safeguard the sanctity of the mosque. In the mosque, nobody can threaten anybody as long as the mosque management allows it,” he said.
Najib defended newspapers for reporting the leaked sex video on broadcasting site Youtube.
“This is not a new matter. News of sex video has been reported way before this. Of course a newspaper has to report when it involves a leader but it has nothing to do with Umno,” he said.
He also ridiculed Anwar for attacking reporters when asked about the Omega watch and hinted that the opposition leader has something to hide.
“The question is why he does not want to answer? The people can conclude the reasons why he does not want to answer,” he said.
Datuk T claimed that they were in possession of an Omega watch left behind by Anwar in the sex video and has handed it to the police for further investigation.
Earlier, emotions ran high as PKR supporters waited for Shazryl’s arrival at the mosque after Friday prayers.
Hundreds crowded in an enclosed praying area circling Federal Territory Islamic Department (Jawi) officials sitting on the floor in front of the iman’s mimbar (rostrum).
The crowd began shouting “Liar”, “arrest him” and “Allah is great” while some began kicking the sitting officials, who included the Jawi director.
PKR Youth chief Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin told the crowd that swearing in God’s name was unIslamic while holding a booklet on the Qazaf — the Islamic ordinance on false accusations — in one hand.
“This is not the way. We want the Jawi director to read about Qazaf in this book.
“We want Qazaf!” he said to the roaring crowd.
The situation grew heated when plainclothes police officers tried to pull PKR supporters away, resulting in a shoving match.
As the crowd tried to diffuse the situation, Shamsul and his followers began praying nearby.
Then, the management of the mosque announced through the loudspeakers that the oath-taking ceremony has been cancelled and asked everybody to disperse.
Datuk T arrived two hours later through the back entrance of the mosque compound for Shazryl to perform the oath taking.

The most funny part is WHY hv to wear bullet proof vests??!This actor is over-act.
the end result is the same! Allahuakhbar! Remember Permatang Pauh? Who swore on the Holy Quran, and there after, what happened?
People just do not believe and Muslims are angry that the Holy Quran is being abused for the sake of politics! You all never learn and as a Muslim, Mr. PM, can you please tell us where in the world has the sumpah laknat being used for political gains?
Important thing is credibility, will the rakyat believe in the fiasco today? You can conduct thousand sumpah laknat but no one will believe you. You will meet your faith when you meet your creator!
Soi Lek a coward
Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim called Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek a coward last night after the MCA president said he would be the first to vote for PKR if it dared to abolish Malay privileges.
Anwar stressed Pakatan Rakyat (PR) will safeguard every provision in the federal constitution, especially Article 153 on the Malay special position.
“Chua Soi Lek wants us to fight among each other. We will not be dictated by you (Dr Chua). You don’t have the courage to face the corrupt practice of the Malay leaders.
“MCA leaders do not have the courage. We (PR) will rise and fight the corrupt, both Malay and Chinese,” he said during a rally with over 200 people in Ampang here last night.
He said the difference between Barisan Nasional (BN) and PR was that his pact fought for the plight of poor Malay while the ruling coalition only looked to protect the wealth of their own families.
He added that while Umno claimed to be protector of Malay rights, they continued neglect the poor and marginalised members of the community.
“Don’t be trapped by their games. We will defend the provisions enshrined in the Malaysian constitution,” he said.
MCA uploaded a clip of Dr Chua on video sharing website YouTube earlier this week, in which he said he would be the first to vote for PKR if it dared to abolish Malay privileges.
Dr Chua’s call follows the April 16 Sarawak election where BN lost nearly all Chinese-majority seats to PR.
The result echoed the loss of Chinese votes in the March 2008 general election, where MCA won just 15 seats in Parliament — fewer than half the 31 MPs it had before.
In the aftermath, he and Utusan Malaysia both called for the Chinese dominated Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) to be dropped from the state Cabinet for its dismal performance.
However, MCA and the Umno-owned newspaper have clashed over the latter’s call for a “1 Melayu, 1 Bumi” campaign to unite Malays against the growing threat of Chinese political power
Yesterday, Anwar ridiculed Utusan’s “1 Melayu, 1 Bumi” campaign and Umno’s concept of the Malay community.
“Malay for them is the Malay businessmen, ministers’ families, Rosmah’s family, and Mahathir’s children. That is their definition of Malays.
“No way they want to defend the plight of the poor,” he said.
“For them Malay rights is their family, for us Malay rights is the rights of the community,” he added.

UMNOPORNO-BN using sex video to stay in power
Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said today that Datuk Seri Najib Razak was using the ongoing sex video saga as his main weapon to keep Barisan Nasional (BN) in government.
The opposition leader said the failure to charge those responsible for the recording that allegedly shows him having sex with a foreign prostitute showed that the prime minister was “using all instruments of power” to bring him down.
“The sex video is now Najib’s main strategy to stay in power. He needs to use pornography and control over the media because he cannot fight us anymore,” said the PKR de facto leader after recording a second statement in relation to the video this afternoon.
The Permatang Pauh MP also criticised the authorities for not taking any action after a second teaser clip of the video was uploaded onto broadcast site YouTube yesterday.
“Since when in this country can sex videos be distributed with no action or pressure?” the former deputy prime minister said.
He added that political motivation behind the video was clear as the “Datuk T” trio that released the video had demanded that he and PKR president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Ismail quit politics.
Anwar (picture) also pointed out that the video surfaced just before the campaign began for the April 16 Sarawak state election.
The 21-minute video was first aired to reporters at the prestigious Carcosa Seri Negara hotel here last month by a man who identified himself as “Datuk T”.
A few days after the viewing, it was revealed that “Datuk T” was a moniker that collectively referred to businessman Datuk Shazryl Eskay Abdullah, former Malacca Chief Minister Tan Sri Abdul Rahim Thamby Chik and Perkasa treasurer-general Datuk Shuib Lazim.
During a March 24 press conference, Abdul Rahim said the video was exposed to show “a man who wants to be prime minister is not qualified.”
Anwar refused to entertain Shazryl’s challenge today to swear in a mosque that he is not the man in the video.
“Can you show me which Islamic law this is based on? Don’t know? Then no need,” he told reporters as he left the police station.
Anwar arrived in a four-car entourage at 2.50pm at the Dang Wangi police station with his wife Dr Wan Azizah and daughter Nurul Izzah.
The second teaser of the sex video allegedly featuring the opposition leader was uploaded on broadcast site YouTube yesterday and made its rounds in several blogs.
The 107-second clip, titled “Papa Nurul Part II”, has since been taken down.
Anwar’s lawyer R. Sivarasa said that Anwar was not asked questions which were relevant to his original police report against the distribution of pornographic material.
“From the line of questioning, you can see that instructions are coming directly from Attorney-General Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail,” said the Subang MP.
Former Kuala Lumpur CID chief Datuk Mat Zain Ibrahim recently said another alleged Anwar sex tape had surfaced 12 years ago in 1999.
Zain had asked the police to investigate any possible links between the two tapes and whether Abdul Gani could be trusted to discharge his duties professionally because of his past involvements in various anti-Anwar episodes.
The police are investigating the Datuk T trio under section 292 of the Penal Code for screening pornographic material.
Deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Khalid Abu Bakar said yesterday that the probe was still ongoing but was confident the police would resubmit investigation papers to the A-G by this week.
He also said police would not hesitate to “expose the performer” in the sex video.

Correct..since when sex vidoes can be freely screened and the person/s who screened this video are yet to be charged. Is the goverment / police setting a precendent ...what if someone comes up with another video and claims that the actor is a prominent BN leader. Is the police going to spend time and money to verify the actor and not going after the person who distributed the video.?????
As long as the police do not perform their duties honestly and fairly they will not be able to gain the trust of the rakyat.
It is unfortunate - but after years of abuse of authority and corruption nothing less than a revamp of the police force and a change of government will convince the rakyat they can deliver justice to the people.
Najib praises Chinese role in economy, nation building
Datuk Seri Najib Razak praised Chinese Malaysians today for their role in the economy and nation-building amid racially-charged rhetoric by some Malay organisations that the community was out to take political power.
The prime minister also stressed that Malaysians from the different communities must work together to ensure further success in the push for a high-income nation. His remarks came at the tail-end of a two-day visit by Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao.
“Thanks to their persistence, determination and sheer hard work… the contribution of the Chinese community to our economy is absolutely crucial to the country as a whole,” Najib (picture) said in a speech to the Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCIM).
But, he said, co-operation among all communities was crucial to the country’s success.
“By combining the work ethic, dedication and persistence of the Chinese business community with the hospitable, polite and considerate attitudes of the Malays and the ambition, openness and respect for family values of the Indian community, we can create synergies that will drive economic growth for all and bring even greater prosperity for Malaysia,” he added.
Najib said the public and private sectors must collaborate further in implementing government initiatives such as the New Economic Model, Government Transformation Programme (GTP) and Economic Transformation Programme (ETP).
“We cannot enhance Malaysia’s national economy without the owners of small and medium businesses — the kinds of companies run by so many members of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce — being given the freedom and support they need to grow.
“Quite simply, the public sector must work with the private sector to drive innovation, not work in opposition to it by erecting roadblocks and obstacles to growth,” he said.
Najib reiterated that the Chinese business community has a crucial role in making the country conducive for future businesses and investments.
The Najib administration is still reeling from the public uproar caused by Umno-owned Utusan Malaysia when it called for a “1 Melayu, 1 Bumi” campaign.
Utusan Malaysia had earlier urged the ruling Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition to ignore the Chinese community for not supporting it during the recent Sarawak election.
Agriculture and Agro-Based Industry Minister Datuk Seri Noh Omar has also said that rural voters are more grateful compared to urban residents for initiatives implemented by BN, citing the recent Sarawak state polls as an example.

You need to appreciate the Chinese Chief Minister from Penang, whom UMNO warlords had secretly admitted, that he is not only doing well, but fantastically well for Penangnites.
Drawing value investments, hey, by the way not the kinds of investments that BN brings in for Gebeng and the alleged Bukit Merah rare earths projects. The Chinese Chief Minister brings in first class investments, and providing jobs to tens of thousands of young professional Malaysians, while the BN investments in the rare earth projects will probably provide jobs for Indonesians etc.
Also, the Chinese Chief Minister, understanding the hardship of its people had started to provide free bus services to those who travel from Penang/Butterworth vice versa to work daily! Now Penangnites, those living in the island or mainland gets to ride to work for free! Next year, with another 200 buses, it will considerably lightens the congestions on the Penang bridge. And the most beautiful part of all, Penangnites now do not have to pay for stupid prices for inferior cars, plus the high maintenance cost! This is what we call a caring Government!
UMNOsaja? You answer yourself what you had done for the Rakyat 54 years under your rule! Really, Penang, under the Chinese Chief Minister had put UMNOsaja to shame! UMNOsaja, what have you got to offer the Rakyat? Sex, sex videos, sodomies, lies, Perkasa, Utusan, TV3. Are you not ashamed UMNOsaja! Make the Malays proud! Do not stoop so low and make the Malay community one that is the laughing stock of the world!
