It's a small price to pay to boost the Prime Minister's and nation's image overseas. The RM20 million is a pittance for those who knows about business and branding but for those who doesn't you could end up like this writer here.Ignorant, presumptive and bias.
Big companies and rich nations do it all the times.Malaysia should not be an exception.
Obviously, either the amount is to big for Mr Bozo to comprehend or a mind too clouded by hatred, suspicion and bias to be objective.
Those political buffoons ,bozos and clowns would not have risen to that level if they were indeed what the writer says they were.
The company that allegedly offered similar services to dictators and corrupt leaders worldwide is here. It's certainly not the inglorious company that provides conduit for corrupt world leaders to redeem themselves as imagined by the writer.
Its senior team came from respectable background that includes ambassadors, business leaders, journalists and government leaders. Its list of renown clientele span the globe from governments to huge conglomerates.Bill Gates would certainly not use it if it has shady dealings.
In classical music it would be called "divertimento", a piece of music that is meant to be entertaining rather than serious.... a chamber orchestra rather than a philharmonic.
Reeks of political patronage of the worst kind.An overkill.
A reader of Malaysian Insider who writes as well.I must admit it is a good read.
Amusing and bemusing.

Ku Li’s statements puzzling – Muhyiddin
Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, the deputy prime minister said that he is surprised and puzzled by the statements made by Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah who recently made some controversial statements about the oil royalty issue concerning the Kelantan state saying that Razaleigh’s actions and statements contradicts with the government’s decision on the issue. He said “”Tengku Razaleigh (Ku Li) who is the Gua Musang Umno Division chairman had also met Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak regarding the matter. I was informed that he, (Tengku Razaleigh) met the Prime Minister but cannot understand why he is continuing with such action.
His actions are as if he is the only one fighting for the rights of the Kelantan people and that the Federal government does not have any consideration," Umno had recently ‘advertised’ the explanation over the issue in Malay newspapers where Ku Li said that the actions were an insult to intelligence. Muhyiddin added that “The Kelantan Umno and Barisan Nasional (BN) leaders had briefed and clarified the oil royalty issue and such process would continue. We will not stop because they have taken action from the political point....we are taking steps to explain the actual situation.
Many Kelantanese, including professionals and the educated, agree and accept that the decision by the government to channel compassionate payment was a correct move and was not against the law. Umno is studying the action and statements made by Tengku Razaleigh, although they were done in his personal capacity. We will monitor the situation...he will finally realize. This is not about victimizing the people of Kelantan or anybody else. We are providing clarification based on the actual rights. If they considered our action is against the law, we told them to take the matter to court. But according to PAS Secretary-General Datuk Mustapa Ali, such an action will not be taken. So, they just want to politicize an issue that had already been clarified from the legal aspect...we will not do anything that contradicts the law. So, I hope the people of Kelantan understand, just like in Terengganu...the government was considerate to offer the payment and it is not about oil royalty. We do not use the word royalty. We have explained the compassionate term. We offered help based on compassion and the people must accept the clarification as the truth,"

Umno leaders question Ku Li’s ‘immunity’ on oil royalty
Tengku Razaleigh will leave it to Umno to decide his fate in the party.
Some Umno supreme council members openly grumbled at their meeting two days ago that Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah appears to have ‘immunity’ to dispute the federal government’s stand on oil royalty for Kelantan, and recommended action against the party veteran.
some supreme council members want action against the Kelantan prince and have, for the first time, asked the party rank-and-file to provide feedback against the long-serving Gua Musang MP.
“There was proposal for action against Tengku Razaleigh... but it wasn’t a proposal for strict action,” an Umno supreme council member told The Malaysian Insider on condition of anonymity.
“There was also the view questioning the inaction against Tengku Razaleigh when the party had used to take strict against members who act against party policies,” another supreme council member said.
But both said issues related to the politician popularly known as Ku Li was not the main agenda at the Thursday night meeting. The founding Petronas chairman had insisted Kelantan was entitled to the 5 per cent royalty but the federal government said no, as Petronas was extracting oil and gas beyond the state’s territorial waters.
“They touched on it but it wasn’t the main discussion,” one of them said, referring to the roiling debate over oil royalty demanded by the PAS-ruled Kelantan government.
“Some members felt the issue should be handled carefully,” he added, saying this is due to the Gua Musang MP’s position as he is a party veteran and not just an ordinary member.
On Thursday night, Umno president Datuk Seri Najib Razak said any potential action against Razaleigh would be taken after getting feedback from party members. “We want to hear from the members first,” the prime minister said.
A few hours before the supreme council meeting, Umno deputy president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin reiterated he was surprised at Razaleigh’s statement which was not in line with the federal government’s decision and explanation about the oil royalty for Kelantan.
Muhyiddin had once said Razaleigh should openly state his stand on the issue. Apart from the deputy prime minister, other members and leaders particularly from Kelantan have urged the Kelantan prince to quit his Gua Musang parliamentary seat while asking the party to punish him.
It is understood that the Umno management committee chaired by Muhyiddin has yet to discuss the issue that has festered in the past few months.
Umno executive secretary Datuk Abdul Rauf Yusoh told The Malaysian Insider that the party will not set a time-frame for members to give their feedback on Razaleigh’s stand.
“Any members or the branches can send in their opinions... we will not set a time-frame. The branches can send to the divisions, divisions can send to state liaison committees and onwards to the headquarters,” said Abdul Rauf.
He said all views will be considered by the party’s top leadership, reiterating the views can be submitted at any time and not just during the annual meetings for branches between May 1 and June 15.
Razaleigh, who has been in the limelight over the issue since the Pakatan Rakyat offered him to lead a caucus on the oil royalty last November, has said he will leave it to Umno to decide on his punishment, which includes being sacked from the party if they find him guilty of any offence over the issue.

Nalla, who has known Anwar for more than 30 years said “Any other woman in her shoes would have shown their emotions. They would not agree to putting up a show in the interest of their husband’s career,’’ This came in light after Wan Azizah told a Singaporean newspaper that she do not believe any of the charges and that it was intended to kill off her husband’s career in politics.

Anwar won’t get access to documents to prepare defence
The Federal Court ruled on Tuesday that it does not have the power to review its own decision made on 29 January 2010 which strike out the application by Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim access to the documents of the sodomy trial for the defence to prepare themselves. Led by Justice Zulkefli Ahmad Makinuddin with Federal Court judges Heliliah Mohd Yusof and Mohd Ghazali Mohd Yusoff, the decision was unanimous.
According to Zulkefli, “A review at the Federal Court is not an automatic right as an applicant has to satisfy that “there was an error in law” for the court to agree to a review,” Karpal Singh, the lead counsel of Anwar said “This would impact nine other cases in which the Federal Court has ruled that it has the inherent power to review its own rulings. The decision today has no impact on our case because the trial has already commenced, and we can always apply for the documents in the course of the trial,”

Manager sells sex clips and earned RM11 million in the past year
A local tabloid has exposed reasons behind the lavish lifestyle of a company’s manager for owning several luxury cars and assets up to RM11 million – he has been selling sex clips to the people via SMS about a year ago.
It is learnt that the 33-year-old man owned Porsche Cayenne and BMW and is currently waiting for his Lamborghini worth RM1 million to be delivered. Unfortunately, his dirty deeds were exposed after being arrested by Bukit Aman Commercial Crime Investigation Department recently following a tip-off from his company.
Sources from Bukit Aman Police Headquarters revealed that investigations proved that the suspect previously worked in a telecommunication company and is responsible in sending out SMSes to customers regarding their services and promotions.
The suspect who handles the system took this opportunity and misused the service to offer sex clips to customers and imposed certain payment rate. Previously, authorities received complaints from users who were stunned when these sex ads sent to their mobiles since a year ago.
Following the complaints, police collaborated with Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) to find out the culprit. They later identified the suspect when the company decided to take actions against him.
The company fired the suspect prior to the police report. In the past year, the suspect earned RM11 million for his dirty deeds. He was arrested in his house at Putra Heights recently.

Pakatan did not call foreign powers to interfere in Malaysia’s internal affairs
Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, the opposition leader has denied the claims made by the BN (Barisan Nasional) that they (Pakatan Rakyat) has been calling on foreign powers to interfere in the country’s internal affairs, particularly in the legal system where the case in point is the currently going on sodomy trial involving him and the alleged victim Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan.
Anwar said that “No one is calling for an intervention in the judicial process. But questions have been raised on the issues of irregularities and flaws in our country’s judicial system. If the government wants Ma¬¬laysians to ignore foreign views on my court case, then why is it sending its officials to Washington?” Dr Syed Husin Ali, the deputy president of PKR (Parti Keadilan Rakyat) voiced a similar sentiment saying that “While it was against the principles of democracy for outsiders to interfere in the judicial affairs of a sovereign country, it was permissible for the sake of justice. As such, countries have a right to comment on policies and actions of another country, just like Malaysia criticised the United States’ invasion of Iraq and Israelis’ occupation of the Palestinian territories.”

Possibility of cutting back public study loans by PTPTN
Over the years, public study loans offered by National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) covers not only tuition fees but also expenses in other areas. However, Higher Education Ministry recently conducted a study and expressed the possibility to restrict the increasing budget by PTPTN.
As a result, students who rely solely on the study loan are worried if PTPTN decides to limit the loans to cover only tuition fees and cut back expenses deemed unnecessary to cover other areas. Surprisingly, even with the existing amounts offered to students that cover the fees and other expenses, the amount is barely enough. Thus, should PTPTN decides to execute such new policy, it might put students' at risk for lack of fund.

I did not mastermind Anwar’s sodomy charges – Rosmah
Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, the wife of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has denied claims that she is the mastermind behind the sodomy charges against Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, the Opposition leader and that she is not involved in any way in ‘framing’ him in order to kill off his political career.
The claims were maid by Anwar who is currently going through the sodomy trial brought upon by the alleged victim, Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan. She said “"It is not something that I am sensitive of as it is not true. I am the type, who will voice out my dissatisfaction, but once said, it is done. It does not mean... Malaysian democracy suffers as opposition leader's trial continues
For the second time in his career, Anwar Ibrahim faces apparently fabricated charges of sodomy
But when Saiful went to be examined by first one and then another doctor, neither found evidence to support the claim that the young man had been sodomized.
For the past two years, there have been hopes and expectations that Malaysia was about to become a proper democracy after more than half a century of one-party rule since independence from Britain in 1957.
But the chances of that are receding as the ruling Barisan Nasional coalition uses the full force of its institutional control against the prime proponent of reform, opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim.
For the second time in his political career, Anwar faces apparently fabricated charges of sodomy -- a crime bringing a maximum 20-year prison sentence in Malaysia -- and it is widely expected Malaysia's compliant courts will do the bidding of their political masters.
At the same time, there is a clear fraying of the carefully crafted ethnic and religious balance between the majority Muslim Malays and large minority ethnic Chinese and South Asian populations that has underpinned the Malaysian political and social compact.
The prospects of genuine reform appeared bright two years ago when Anwar's three-party coalition -- the Pakatan Rakyat, or People's Alliance -- made dramatic advances in the 2008 elections.
The opposition not only robbed the Barisan Nasional of the two-thirds majority it had enjoyed for over 50 years; it also won power in five of Malaysia's 13 states.
This was in itself a remarkable comeback for Anwar, who had been deputy prime minister, finance minister and heir apparent to then-prime minister Mahathir Mohammed in the 1990s.
But the two fell out over how to respond to the Asian economic crisis of 1997.
When Anwar had the audacity to take his opposition to the streets and inspire a new political entity, the People's Justice Party, the full authority of the state was marshalled against him.
Anwar was charged with clearly fabricated allegations of sodomy and of abuse of power. He was convicted in 1998 and spent six years in prison until, with the retirement of his nemesis Mahathir, a court complied with new instructions to erase the conviction and free Anwar.
But his threatening performance in the 2008 election leading the improbable alliance of his own party with the largely Chinese left-of-centre Democratic Action Party and the Muslim fundamentalist Parti Islam se-Malaysia ended charitable instincts in the ruling Barisan Nasional.
Four months after the election, Anwar was arrested and charged with sodomy on allegations made by Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan, 25.
In the meantime, the Barisan Nasional changed leaders to try to repair the damage of the 2008 election results.
Najib Tun Razak, a veteran of the United Malays National Organization, which is the lead party in the ruling coalition, was chosen leader and prime minister in April last year.
But Najib came to power with a significant burden of questions surrounding his career.
There was the question of Najib's bodyguards' involvement in the murder of a Mongolian model who was the jilted mistress of one of his close friends and policy advisers, Razak Baginda, when he was defence minister.
There's also the matter of the equivalent of $200 million in commissions apparently paid to Razak when Najib, as defence minister, pushed for Malaysia to acquire three French submarines.
Najib insists, however, there was no conspiracy to frame Anwar when he met Saiful before the charges were laid against the opposition leader.
But when Saiful went to be examined by first one and then another doctor, neither found evidence to support the claim that the young man had been sodomized.
One of the doctors found the political circumstances so troubling he decided to take his family into hiding for several months.
The prosecution then changed the charges against Anwar from sodomy to consensual sex with another male, Saiful, still a crime in Malaysia.
Indeed, a feature of this case so far has been the number of occasions on which the prosecution has changed the times and dates the alleged offence took place in order to try to conform to new testimony.
Last week, Anwar sought to have the charges dismissed, saying it was part of a political conspiracy against him. He told supporters he was not surprised when the court rejected his application.
But the apparent determination of the Najib government to remove Anwar from the political forum has begun to undermine the opposition People's Alliance.
There is no doubt that some of the people who ran for the alliance in the 2008 election and others who crossed the floor to join Anwar afterwards were motivated largely by opportunism.
They figured the People's Alliance might soon have a majority in parliament and be in a position to form a government -- with all the opportunities for advancement that entailed.
But if Anwar is going to be railroaded into prison, those prospects disappear.
There is no one else in the opposition alliance who can hold this ill-matched troika of parties together.
So the rumours on the streets of Malaysia now are that perhaps 10 and maybe more of the opposition alliance's members of parliament are getting ready to cross the floor back into the arms of the Barisan Nasional government, where the prospects for perks are better.

our nation's fate lies in that sh*t hole of Saiful. And the PM is willing to crawl that that hole of Saiful in order to survive. Incidentally, 'Sai' = sh*t in Hokkien, So, they couldn't have arrange for a better person to do the hatchet job on DSAI. This Saiful guy is aptly named and is "FULL of SH*T".
it seems that Najib's life-line depends on Saiful's arsehole. That's what the Chemistry Department is up to. They are using DNA to implicate Anwar whereas doctors from two hospitals came clear with no penetration traced.
that’s because Jibby and the UMNO regime lifeline is Sayfool’s areshole. Therefore, if they charge Sayfool and he was sent to jail, than UMNO would not have the sole rights over Sayfool’s arsehole anymore.
Once he is in jail, Sayfool’s arsehole will be at the mercy of the other inmates and UMNO can’t do anything about it! UMNO wants to have exclusive rights over Sayfool’s arsehole and they are now worshiping his arsehole as a saviour of their future!
Does that make sense to you?
Now that the whole world knows what kind of a Prime Minister of Malaysia is and the judiciary which is tainted with corruption to keep him in power, dont they feel any shame at all that a conspiracy has been exposed? The very fact that Najib has met Saiful at his office before a police report was made and that the judiciary had just ignored this foundation of a conspiracy is beyond believel.
What if all the government leaders of the world just refused to meet and shake hands with Najib and his wife, doesnt it shame the whole nation, our beloved Agong and all Malaysians wherever they are?
People will vote Pakatan in next General Election even if I am in jail - Anwar
Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, the opposition leader claims that the people of the country has gotten pretty much fed up of the Umno-dominated Federal Government and that they will vote BN out of the government in the next general election, with or without him. He said that whether or not he is in jail in the current trial where he is accused to have sodomized Mohd Saiful Bukhari, he added that the people are ready to replace the BN with the Pakatan Rakyat. Speaking in Penang at a Chinese New Year Open house, he added that “They should not have this wrong perception that the voters would back the ruling coalition if I were to be jailed.
Let me tell you all, that the people of Malaysia will rise to the occasion against Umno and BN in the next general election - whether I am in jail or not. Everywhere we've went, the people (we see) are ready to kick out Umno and BN. Due to massive corruption, Malaysia had now fallen on the wayside economically even within the Asean region. We are now lagging far behind Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and even Vietnam in both economic growth and competitive edge. We are only better than Burma and Zimbabwe,”
Questioning on Umno’s moral standings that questioned Lim Guan Eng, the Chief Minister of Penang, he added that “What Umno has done for Penang Malays since independence until it lost the last general election? All the good things done by Umno in Penang were carried out when I was an Umno minister. I am ready to face anyone on this. The current Umno leaders in Penang were only interested pocketing riches for themselves at the expense of public interest. Lim is doing a good job here. We are here today to show full support to his government. Penang is important for Pakatan and for me ... we must win it again in the next election,”

I agree with you Anwar as majority of the wise and conscious citizens of Malaysia are just waiting for the right moment to eliminate UMNO/BN.
The Rakyat are smart now, they will vote Pakatan in the next GE. BTW, DSAI there is no necessity for you to go to Jail fo something which you have not done.
no matter how the verdict goes, najib will lose
If you ask 1000 intelligent people they will say Anwar will not stand any chance in the bn kangaroo court. But if you ask 1000 stupid cows, they will ask Anwar to close shop, that is herd mentality ( one stupid black cow points that way, 999 stupid buffalows follow). Without Anwar, ther are still many smart leaders around, like Tok Guru, Zaid, Nizam, LKS, LGE and many others. Just picking one among the top 5 will be better than all the bn ministers put together
The people are matured now. They will vote for PR and not BN. UMNO has to use their racist strategy to get attention from the kampung areas! Suck on that, umno.

Kit Siang slams Najib for playing racial cards in Pakatan st
DAP stalwart Lim Kit Siang lashed out at the prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak for calling himself the PM of all races but plays the racial and religious cards in the states administered by the Pakatan Rakyat which includes the episode where he had stoked racial and religious sentiments in Penang where the Chief Minister, Lim Guan Eng has been under pressure from the representatives of his administration. Kit Siang questioned “Is Najib unaware that not only the Chinese in Penang and Malaysia, but all other Malaysians whether Malays, Indians, Kadazans or Ibans in the country are following with disgust the irresponsible politics of race and religion being daily perpetrated by Umno-controlled media against the Pakatan Rakyat Penang State government and Penang chief minister?”
He added that “Everyone can only reach one conclusion - that Najib is not serious and fully committed to the 1Malaysia slogan and concept. Or else he would not have allowed the Umno media to continue on such a rampage in exploiting the race and religious cards in Penang! It is no exaggeration to say that the biggest enemies of Najib's 1Malaysia concept come from within Umno and Barisan Nasional and not without... as illustrated by the divisive and destructive politics of race and religion now perpetrated by Umno media against the Penang chief minister.
If Najib cannot even ask the Umno media like the Utusan Malaysia, Berita Harian and the government television and radio channels to give him a chance to prove that he is Prime Minister for all Malaysians... what positive answer can Najib get from his request at the national Chinese New Year celebrations in Pandamaran yesterday asking the Chinese community to give his government a chance to prove itself?”

1Malaysia ???????.........is just a slogan ! BN will do anything to be in control !
Religion and race was always used for certain quarters to stay in power and make the 'subjects' do their bidding. This will not change because, we the voters, allowed them to do it for more then 50 years and they got used to it.
We have only one choice to change that and this is: stay cool, do not fall into the trap set to enable UMNO BN to implement the emergency law (which would make it legal to skip the election for as long as they like!! refer to Myanmar and Zimbabwe) and vote wisely and for change next election.
If we ran amok, as plant from some, we will not have an election to change the government in accordance with law and order.
So guys, stay ice cool and inform everyone that they have to get registered and that they have the obligation to vote for change.
NAJIB IS THE KING OF ALL THE KINGS IN MALAYSIA , HE CAN DO WHAT HE LIKES, .UMNO MALAY WORSHIP HIM MORE THAN GOD. ALL THE RAKYAT MEDIAS UNDER HIS ARMS, ONLY RAKYAT CAN OVERTHROWN HIM
If a eligible voter is not voting, he or she has lost the right to complain!!!!

Noh dismisses claim that Umno Selangor is split
Selangor Umno liaison committee deputy chairman Datuk Seri Noh Omar has dismissed a claim that the state Umno was split, with one faction led by him, and the other by former menteri besar Datuk Seri Dr Mohamad Khir Toyo.
He said the claim made by Seri Muda assemblyman Shuhaimi Shafiei of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) was aimed at diverting the people’s attention from the opposition’s internal crisis.
“Actually, the state PAS is saddled with two camps, led by PAS state commissioner Datuk Dr Hasan Mohamed Ali and Shah Alam MP Khalid Samad, respectively.
“Even Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim is embroiled in a crisis in his PKR Ijok branch,” Noh told reporters after holding a dialogue with the Selangor Single Mothers Association.
Noh, who is also agriculture and agro-based industry minister, said Dr Khir was his close friend, adding that he (Noh) had brought him into politics and supported his appointment as menteri besar in 2000.
“After Dr Khir became the menteri besar, I made way for him to be Tanjung Karang Umno division chief in 2001, although I was then the division’s deputy chief. Dr Khir was then the division’s Youth chief.
“We always have discussions. After all, we come from the same village, Sungai Burong. There is no reason why we should quarrel with each other,” reasoned Noh.

Shame on Selangor UMNO - they don't have their own people to take care of their local branch! They need a Sabahan to poke into the internal affairs!
Whatever it is, we are not interested. What we do know is racism, corruption and abuse of power everywhere. Remember who was the dalang behind the cow head protestors, for example ?
In PAS they dare to voice the differences in the open because they pratice true democracy. But in UMNO the denial syndrome manifests everywhere by everyone on everything. Only his difference between PAS and UMNO is not denied or else Umno has no where to go

‘Give us a chance’, PM asks Chinese
“Give us chance and we will prove that we are a government that can do the best for the people,” the prime minister said at the national Chinese New Year celebrations at the Pandamaran New Village here.
Najib urged the 5,000-strong crowd not to be disheartened by the recent attacks on houses of worship, linked to the “Allah” issue, but to take these as a challenge and a lesson.
“It’s a challenge that we should unite as one people, nation and 1 Malaysia,” he told the crowd.
Najib said the incidents were the work of extremists and not an indication that his 1 Malaysia policy had failed but instead showed that it was needed.
Heavy rain earlier marred and delayed tonight’s celebrations but Najib was unperturbed when he arrived at about 9pm.
During his speech, he joked that rain was “ong (Hokkien for ‘lucky’)” or an indication of good luck.
He said many had predicted the event would not be successful and lamented that the Pakatan Rakyat (PR) state government had torn down banners of him because proper forms were not filled.
Najib also lashed out at the Selangor state government for holding their Chinese New Year celebrations at the same time, purportedly so that many would not make it to Pandamaran.
But the prime minister expressed his gratitude to the crowd that welcomed him despite the rain and clashing state celebrations.
Other BN dignitaries present at tonight’s affair included MCA president Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat, MIC president Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu and Information, Communication and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim.

Chinese Malaysians have given UMNO the chance for the past 50 years. 50 years and yet, though all of Chinese Malaysians accept and think of Malaysia as their only home, your UMNOPutras keep rejecting them and keep on treating them as immigrants. This is their only home. They have given UMNO 50 years to prove that it can do the best for the people but all they have seen, particularly since the time of Dr. M. is nothing but the abuse of power, corruption in high places, injustices against the poor and needy, racism and even the murder of innocents at the hands of UMNO's agencies. No, Najib, you and UMNO have had your chance!
You ripped the country and looked down on the Non Malays as second class citizens. UMNO and BN politicians became rich at the expense of the poor taxpayers
Now you want another chance.
Podah. Calling all Malaysians not to be hoodwinked by this rascist alliance called BN.
how to give you a chance, PM? when we still have of all the racist remarks of Perkasa and some from your cabinet and also all the unfair trial and death of TBH with lies after lies and cover up after cover up! Clean up the mess first, make the road straight and get rid of all the cronies and corrupted UMNO's. Let truth prevail and justice be done, then these chances will come by itself.

Rais happy with attendance at CNY open house
Information Communication and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim praised the Chinese community in Pandamaran for their willingness to attend the national-level Chinese New Year celebration at Jalan Chan Ah Choon.
He noted that attendance was good despite “attempts by some quarters” to prevent them from coming.
He said the Chinese community came to the function to welcome Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and other leaders of the Barisan Nasional component parties.
“Before this, some say there won’t be people coming here because there is another function held at the same time,” he said.
Rais expressed delight that the residents of Pandamaran came despite the heavy rain.
“Sorry that you have to stand to listen to the prime minister’s speech. According to earlier plans, the prime minister will sit with the people on the right and the performances to be held on the stage.
“But because of the rain, we cannot have it that way,” he added.
Meanwhile, MCA President Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat said last night’s celebration fell on the seventh day of the Chinese New Year which was a special day as it was regarded as the birthday of all humankind.
“We should be proud to be born on this land because of the opportunity to celebrate all the celebrations in the country in a Malaysian spirit,” he added

Wow, have to ampu the PM is it? Since when the PM is interested in rakyat's plight?
By the way, who is the host of this CNY celeb? Sounds like the Chicken Rice man is the host by the way he commented. Attendance was good? The other function nearby had much higher attendance of about 20,000 whereas only about 5,000 went to collect Ang Pows from Pinklips Jibby and BFM and his cohorts of leeches and parasites!
Rais. People came for the food lah and to see who the VIPs were, NOT necessarily supporting your "ideals". Everyone knowing very well BN always can afford good free food!
Syok sendiri. I was there and have to admit that the crowd was quite big , about 4-5K and majority of the crowd was Chinese. I spoke to an elderly man and he told me most of the visitors were Pandamaran folks, he recognized them because he has been living there for all his life. When this celebration was held in Pandamaran, literally at their doorstep, there was no reason for the local folks not to visit since there were still on Chinese New Year mood and it was held on a Saturday night.
The size of the Chinese crowd at that function does not mean they have started supporting BN. Pakatan Selangor state Chinese New Year celebraton was also held at the same time and i heard even more visitors joined the celebration. It shouldn't have been like that because Pandamaran is located in Klang ( big population ) whereas Pakatan's celebration was held in Jenjarom a small town with much smaller population. This means many outsider took the effort to visit Pakatan's function rather than MCA's function.
Stop passing the buck, Najib, urge Pakatan MPs
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak must hold himself and his administration accountable for the recent attacks against houses of worship and work to resolve the problem instead of laying the blame on extremists, two Pakatan Rakyat (PR) lawmakers said today.
Najib, who was officiating the national Chinese New Year “open house” celebration in Pandamaran last night said the attacks on houses of worship at the beginning of the year, linked to the “Allah” issue, were the works of extremists and should not be read as a sign that his 1 Malaysia policy has failed.
Instead, it demonstrates how much the policy is needed, he added.
The DAP’s Tony Pua told The Malaysian Insider that the prime minister had missed the real issue at stake.
“This issue is not so much the fact that it was brought about by extremists as the fact that the attacks were encouraged by Umno leaders and Umno media... to create Muslim anger against non-Muslims,” the Petaling Jaya Utara MP said.
Pua noted that Umno leaders had openly made “highly inflammatory” statements spurring certain Malay-Muslim groups to demonstrate their dissatisfaction over the court ruling on the Christian use of the word “Allah”.
In addition newspaper articles in Umno-owned media such as Utusan Malaysia incited individuals to carry out the attacks.
He pointed to the public outrage that followed close on the heels of statements made by Nasir Safar, Najib’s former special officer who was forced to resign after he allegedly made derogatory remarks against Malayisan Chinese and Indians at a 1 Malaysia event last month.
“There is no support within his own circle. This is the failure of 1 Malaysia at the very source, Barisan Nasional, itself. They can’t get their act together,” Pua said.
The former CEO added that the solidarity shown by the general public who came together to condemn the desecration of churches, mosques and a gurdwara happened “in spite of the 1 Malaysia programme, not because of it.”
Pua’s fellow PR parliamentarian from PAS, Dzulkefly Ahmad, shared his views.
“Najib is now put to the test on his 1 Malaysia slogan. It’s as simple as that. He’s got to be consistent and coherent and to be seen so,” said the Kuala Selangor MP.
“I’m now saying the extremism in society is in his own party. There are many in his party, including his own deputy, who are lending support to Perkasa...which is undermining the Malaysian social fabric,” Dzulkefly slammed.
“Don’t beat around the bush, Najib. You’ve got the right rhetoric but we want to see the substance of it,” said Dzulkefly, who previously headed the Islamist party’s research centre and is a member of the PAS Central Working Committee (CWC).

Kit Siang: Umno is the enemy of 1 Malaysia
The DAP urged Datuk Seri Najib Razak today to stop his Umno party’s newspapers from playing the race card if he really wanted the Chinese community to give his administration a chance.
Lim Kit Siang also singled out Umno as the biggest enemy of the prime minister’s 1 Malaysia concept of inclusiveness.
“Najib should ask Umno media like Utusan Malaysia, Berita Harian and government television and radio channels to give him a chance to prove that he is Prime Minister for all Malaysians by ceasing to play the race and religion card.” said party stalwart Lim Kit Siang today.
He cited as an example what he claimed to be the mainstream media’s campaign to demonise Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng as anti-Malay.
The Penang CM and the DAP have been portrayed by some of Umno’s newspapers as being anti-Malay.
The state administration was alleged to have cancelled its official procession to mark Prophet Muhammad’s birthday. This was denied by Guan Eng.
The state’s local authorities have also been accused with targeting Malay traders for enforcement action despite statistics showing otherwise.
Lim said it was obvious the race card was being used by Umno newspapers against the DAP.
The Ipoh Timur MP was responding today to the prime minister’s appeal to the Chinese community in Malaysia to give the Barisan Nasional government a chance to prove itself, which he made at the national Chinese New Year celebrations at the Pandamaran New Village in Klang, last night.
Lim said Najib seemed oblivious to what was being done by Umno’s newspapers and media organisations.
He said the only conclusion that could be reached was that Najib was not serious or fully committed to 1 Malaysia otherwise he would not have allowed the Umno media to continue to exploit race and religion for political gains.
“It’s no exaggeration to say that the biggest enemies of Najib’s 1 Malaysia come from within Umno and Barisan National (BN).”
He pointed out that even leaders of BN component parties, such as MCA, Gerakan, MIC or the Sabah and Sarawak parties, do not have the political conviction or courage to tell Najib to stop the irresponsible politics of race and religion.
“If Najib cannot even ask the Umno-owned media to stop playing the race card, what positive answer can he get from his request to the Chinese community to give his government a chance to prove itself?”
