Umno using communist issue as a diversion
UMNOPORNO try to swallow the people about communist issue
Mohamad Sabu has called Umno’s accusations that the PAS deputy president is a communist sympathiser an attempt to distract the public from current issues such as electoral fraud and inflation.
He said in a press conference in Kota Baru that Umno was trying to cover up the weaknesses of the federal government by accusing him of revering communists.
“The issue of communism has been purposely raised by Umno’s newspaper to divert the attention of the public from electoral reforms and inflation,” he added in a statement released today.
Mohamad’s (picture) statements echo that of his Pakatan Rakyat (PR) colleagues who earlier accused Umno of rewriting history to ensure that the senior partner in the ruling Barisan Nasional (BN) takes sole credit for the independence struggle.
But the federal opposition has also admitted that Mohamad’s comments had allowed Umno a reprieve after being on the backfoot for months following record levels of inflation and the July 9 Bersih rally which saw tens of thousands pouring into the capital demanding for free and fair elections.
Umno has gone on the offensive since its Utusan Malaysia reported last Saturday that Mohamad had allegedly described as heroes those who attacked the Bukit Kepong police station during the pre-independence communist insurgency.
The Malay daily had accused him of disparaging the country’s armed forces and expressing support for communists but Mohamad, popularly known as Mat Sabu, has denied the report or mentioning communists and has threatened to sue the newspaper.
But Umno leaders such as vice-president Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein and even former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad have continued to accuse the PAS man of trying to revise history and glorify communists.
However, Mohamad pointed out today that Mat Indera, one of the individuals he praised in his ceramah on August 21, had been recognised as a freedom fighter by Umno-controlled Berita Harian on August 13, 2010.
Denying that he “idolised communists,” the maverick politician also said that “Umno leaders are panicking as the history of the independence struggle is coming to light especially to the younger generation.”
“I have been detained under the Internal Security Act twice and was accused of being a religious extremist,” he added.

The people should know that in 1950 when the Kepong incident happened there WAS NO Malaysian police lah...mana ada PDRM? Malaysia was not even existent.
So for (d)UMNO to say that the communists then fought the imaginary "anggota2 POLIS DiRaja Malaysia" in Kepong IS A TOTAL LIE.
"...Utusan Malaysia pada halaman utamanya, 27 Ogos lalu mendakwa pemimpin kanan PAS tersebut berkata pengganas Parti Komunis Malaya (PKM) yang menyerang dan membunuh anggota keselamatan dan keluarga mereka dalam tragedi Bukit Kepong..." (Malaysiakini)
Utusan conveniently uses "anggota keselamatan" to mean "the PDRM". Those who are misinformed and ignorant would have fallen for the trap. Being emotional and loyal to Utusan, readers would have assumed that the uniformed units during the British rule were actually the PDRM!
Come on, do not be misled by Utusan and UMNO leaders who are trying to pull wool over our eyes. They are trying to gain sympathy and win brownie points in the hope to win the Malay votes. Do not give your votes to those who twist facts and hide truths. And Utusan is always LYING, with UMNO right behind!
How many Chinese were murdered by the Japanese in Malaya during World War 2 but we let bygones be bygones and have normal relationship with them. Why can't we move on and not let umno play this dirty political game of demonizing the past? Communism today is no longer a threat because najib give a Red Carpet Welcome to Premier Wen Jia Bao begging to to trade with COMMUNIST CHINA! Have umno idiots no SHAME accusing Mat Sabu when their own leader is licking COMMUNIST CHINESE BOOTS? Get a Reality Check!
One good thing we can learn from Communist China is that those involved in corruption are normally given a death penalty. Then there'll be no one anymore in BN line up. Now we can understand the fear.
the trouble with umno is, they still think the rakyat are like their grassroot members who follows blindly and believes what their leaders says...most if not all, don't have a mind of their own...we've got news for you umno....the rakyat are not as stupid as you think they are..
But then, as a person who seem to claim to have a mind of his own, do you not have to admit that the communists at that time was fighting the British colonists and were considered freedom fighters who had to hide and fight against the colonists from the jungles. When the hit that police station, it was a British police station although it was also manned by our local police. Dig up old history books and find out the truth for yourself.
Umno rewriting history for dupe the people
colonialist dog the father of traitor dupe the people claiming as father of independence
Pakatan Rakyat (PR) has accused Umno of erasing the contributions of others to Malaysia’s independence movement in its efforts to demonise PAS deputy president Mohamad Sabu as a communist sympathiser.
The federal opposition said in a statement today that the maverick politician was highlighting “the need to appreciate historical plurality” which “Umno leaders will have no part of” as the senior partner in the ruling Barisan Nasional (BN) “offers no room for dissenting views.”

“It is in Umno’s interest to maintain their version of history not only because it upholds their leaders and hence their claim to power, but also because it conceals their chicanery and Machiavellian machinations in their bid to suppress adversaries and legitimate dissent over five decades of authoritarian rule.
“Mat Sabu was not wrong in attempting to contest existing perceptions of history. What is wrong is the fact that Malaysians have been manipulated for years by the propaganda machinery of the BN government,” the coalition’s joint secretariat said.
Umno has gone on the offensive since its Utusan Malaysia reported last Saturday that Mohamad had described as heroes those who attacked the Bukit Kepong police station during the pre-independence communist insurgency.
PR lawmakers also told The Malaysian Insider yesterday that Mohamad’s comments had allowed Umno to go on the offensive after spending months trying to contain the fallout from rising inflation and the July 9 Bersih rally for electoral reform.
Utusan Malaysia had accused him of disparaging the country’s armed forces and expressing support for communists but Mohamad, popularly known as Mat Sabu, has denied the report or mentioning communists and has threatened to sue the newspaper.
But Umno leaders such as vice-president Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein and even former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad have continued to accuse the PAS man of trying to revise history and glorify communists.
PR also criticised today Umno’s “systematic and decades-long effort to ‘sanitise’ Malaysian history so that only the contributions of those from Umno and its cohorts are recognised, while the legitimate contributions of other Malaysian nationalists and freedom fighters are conveniently erased.”
It cited individuals and organisations such as Dr Burhanuddin al-Helmy, Ahmad Boestamam, Ishak Haji Mohamed, Kesatuan Melayu Muda (KMM) and Parti Kebangsaan Melayu Malaya (PKMM) as others who also contributed to the independence movement.
“The groundbreaking ‘People’s Constitution’, crafted 10 years before Merdeka, was achieved in 1957 by the All-Malaya Council of Joint Action (AMCJA) and Pusat Tenaga Rakyat (PUTERA).
“It was not only momentous in scope and effort, but more importantly our country’s first truly multiracial coalition,” PR said, in an apparent reference to the “power-sharing” model used by BN and its predecessor, the Alliance, which the ruling party says underpins its multiracial coalition.
The opposition further accused BN of “institutional fear and persecution... that saw them (Burhanuddin, Ahmad and Ishak) and many others arbitrarily arrested and detained under the draconian Internal Security Act by the Alliance/BN on trumped-up charges of, amongst others, communist complicity.”
“Umno leaders will have no part of such a colourful past. History according to Umno is a monochrome version that offers no room for dissenting views.
“Our history textbooks are not only missing a chapter or two, but an entire parallel history that has now been successfully erased from official memory,” it said.

umno rewriting the history! In the present what they claim is true as well....umno is bloody corrupted and abusive of power! What they claim about future is also true....Malaysia is going down the drain and to be bankrupt under umno-bn very soon
If people like you continue to support Umno/BN soon all Malaysians will become illiterate and going back to living in attap houses except the umnoputras, MCAputras, MICputras and other BNputras who live in big mansions and palaces.
THE UMNO HISTORICAL OFFICIALS PORTRAYED THE COMMUNISTS AS TERRORIST with their biased and distorted versions ,,,,,EFFECTIVELY CONCEALING THE CONTRIBUTIONS OF ALL THE RELEVANT GROUPS (including the heroic communists ) against the BRITISH COLONISERS....Umno twisted History by concealing the fact that the then BUKIT KEPONG police base WAS MANNED AND RUN BY OFFICERS serving BRITISH interests !!! ON the other face of History , the COMMUNISTS WERE THE HEROES WHO ATTACKED LOCAL TRAITORS IN THE BUKIT KEPONG POLICE STATION !!! FACTS BE TOLD - not be twisted by Umno again FOR ITS NARROW COMMUNAL POLITICS !!!
If left to umno, then they will claim that they alone built Malaysia. The nons have no part at all. The roads, factories, businesses, etc are all built by umno alone. This is all bull!!! Umno, you can go fly kite. Do you think the rakyat have no brain and eyes to see for themselves? Don't try to browbeat us. We think Umno sucks, cannot be trusted---with history and everything else.

Anoher land grab by UMNOPUTRAS again...Sure it is UMNOPUTRAS & Cronies! ...Putrajaya to name Pudu jail developer soon, says PM
Putrajaya will soon announce its decision on the company that will redevelop the historic Pudu Jail land here, Datuk Seri Najib Razak said today.
The land on which the historic Pudu Jail was previously sited has been left idle for the past decade as property owners UDA Holdings Bhd’s recommendation awaits government approval.
“Itu later nanti... nanti (it is) coming (That is later... wait, wait (it is) coming),” the prime minister said today when asked whether his administration had decided on which company would be selected to carry out the project.
“Today I want to focus on this project (the Pudu bus station upgrade). If I mention other things then other things become bigger news. I want this story to be highlighted,” Najib told reporters today.
The Urban Development Authority’s efforts to trim its debts and raise money for its affirmative action programmes is being hampered by politics, with the Finance Ministry stalling on the recommendation by UDA Holdings board for a China-based company to redevelop the Pudu Jail land.
In understand the government is facing pressure and lobbying from politically-connected local companies who are keen on taking part in the deal.
UDA Holdings has recommended China-based Everbright International Construction Ltd as its partner for the redevelopment of the eight-hectare Pudu Jail site. Sources say that the shortlisting process has been completed and Everbright’s bid is in excess of RM2 billion, three times the value of the land.
The Najib administration had in July rejected UDA’s sale of 3.56 acres of prime land in downtown Kuala Lumpur to 54 per cent Bumiputera-owned Nadayu Properties Bhd, formerly known as Mutiara Goodyear Development Bhd, for not having sufficient Bumiputera holding.
The decision over the Pudu Jail site will be yet another test of Najib’s commitment to economic liberalisation.
UDA came under fire recently from Malay hardliners in Umno, Perkasa and Utusan Malaysia for allegedly abandoning the Bumiputera agenda by not appointing Bumiputera joint-venture turnkey investors for the proposed Bukit Bintang City Centre (BBCC) on the Pudu Jail site located on prime land in the heart of the capital’s Golden Triangle.
Agency chairman Datuk Nur Jazlan Mohamed has denied these accusations, saying UDA has no choice but to be competitive as it no longer received any direct assistance from the government.
UDA, whose assets are estimated to be worth RM2 billion, is over RM900 million in debt. It also holds just RM90 million in cash with an outstanding RM104 million land premium for the Pudu site due in September.

Another project, another crony. It is sial to develop the former jail site. The developer will need bailing out and the billions will be wasted.
Everthing is up for grabs, even a JAIL site. The big boys will get the job.It can be MMC,SETIA,IJM,SIME DARBY ENGINEERING,GAMUDA AND A HOST OF WELL CONNECTED companies.
Aren't there newer and up and coming Bumiputra companies who are as capable as the big players ?
No need to hold your breath. It will likely be given to some UMNO/BN crony company. There is no transparency. These guys want to empty the government coffers before they are booted out
Najib should step down for being such a sham of a prime minister. Meritocracy in speech, nothing more. no where is he feeling the weight of public goodwill as much as the japanese leaders. he would had willingly stepped down half way through his term
UMNOPORNO feet distortions policy ....Muhyiddin remarks Mohamad’s as communist supporter
UMNOPORNO boar's head
PAS deputy president Mohamad Sabu saying the communists who attacked Bukit Kepong police station were heroes insults those who fought for the country, said Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin yesterday.
During the Emergency (1948-1960), communist insurgents attacked the police station in the 1950s, while the country was still under British rule.
Muhyiddin said he was extremely disappointed with Mohamad who is more popularly known as Mat Sabu, for his August 21 remarks made at a Tasek Gelugor political gathering, as reported by a local daily.
The report also stated that the PAS leader said the country’s first prime minister Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj and Umno’s first president Datuk Onn Jaafar were not freedom fighters, Muhyiddin pointed out.
In his statement released to Bernama Online, Muhyiddin said Mohamad was ignorant of the contribution made by past Malay leaders to lead the country to independence.
He wants Mohamad to now apologise to all Malaysians for his remarks.
Muhyiddin (picture) explained further that the Malay leaders Mohamad derided who ended up inspired Malays to oppose British rule and the Malayan Union.
He said that they led to the formation of Umno and have always defended Malay rulers, Malay rights, Malay language and Islam.
Muhyiddin said that Mohamad’s lauding of those behind the communist insurgency was misplaced for the communists were cruel and were murderers.
The education minister said that the communists wanted to build an undemocratic communist country, citing the examples of communists killing and rioting after the Japanese surrendered at the end of the Second World War.
In a related development, a police report against Mohamad’s remarks — as was reported by a local daily — was made at Pagoh police station in Muar by Pagoh Barisan Nasional Youth chief Ismail Mohamed yesterday.

Look at which country lend the most money to the world "richest" country, if not a communist country. So what's wrong with communist?? do you see the rate of drug users, baby dumping and corruption is much higher in " Malay"sia. peoples get firing squad when convicted of corruption in China.
Bad and wrong as the communists, UMNO is worse. The sad truth is that UMNO past and present play little role in our independence.
UMNO merely come to the fore after the fire has gone out to jointly proclaim victory with those who risk their lives.
Though the communists are at fault of inhumane act, without the communists would we have our independence from the British that easily. The communists have their place in Malaysia's history and we have to look at it from both perspectives of good and bad
utusan, the messenger of devil's tongue knave....Utusan says Mat Sabu wants to turn Malaysia into a republic
Utusan Malaysia today launched a full-scale assault on Mohamad Sabu, accusing him rewriting history to turn Malaysia into a republic, over his alleged remarks praising communists.
Mingguan Malaysia, the weekend edition of the Umno daily carried eight pages worth of comments and criticisms against Mohamad, ranging from top Umno leaders like Umno deputy president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Khalid Abu Bakar to ex-soldiers who had fought communists during the February 23, 1950 attack on the Bukit Kepong police station.
The daily attacked Mohamad (picture) — who is popularly known as Mat Sabu — for allegedly praising the communists who attacked the police station in British-ruled Malaya during Emergency (1948-1960)
“Awang sees what Mat Sabu says as an insult to the country especially with the coming National Day this Wednesday. But Awang is not surprised. Mat Sabu is actually carrying the aspirations of other parties who have always fanned their own agenda to rewrite the history and constitution of our country.
“The strategy of some DAP leaders to engage in close ties with Mat Sabu has clearly worked...Awang will not be surprised if once the opposition takes over, he (Mohamad) will place Parti Komunis Malaya Leader (PKM) Chin Peng as a national hero and suggest that Malaysia be turned into a republic,” Awang Selamat wrote today.
Awang Selamat is a pseudonym under which editors of Utusan Malaysia write.
The Malay daily interviewed Temenggong Kanang Langkau, one of the few army survivors from the attack on Bukit Kepong who demanded that the Internal Security Act be used on the PAS leader for his supposed remarks made during a recent ceramah.
“This man is useless, is this what you call a former elected representative? Tell him if he wants to support Communists he does not have to contest in the general elections.
“He is supports communists, therefore he is a communist. He should be banished,” the former soldier told the Malay daily.
Utusan aired its first report on Mohamad's alleged speech during a ceramah in Tasek Gelugor yesterday. The report also claimed that the PAS leader said the country’s first prime minister Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj and Umno’s first president Datuk Onn Jaafar were not freedom fighters.
Mohamad has so far refused to comment. He told The Malaysian Insider that he would first view the ceramah footage before commenting further.
