Pasir Mas member of parliament Datuk Paduka Ibrahim Ali is keeping his options open on the possibility of him rejoining Umno.
He said he might do so if the party could successfully translate the change outlined by its leadership.
“If the party successfully translates the change demanded by the president and deputy president, I may be keen to be with Umno but not in the near future,” he told Bernama when contacted.
Saying that he had never been a PAS member, Ibrahim, an independent MP, said he was drawn towards Umno of late following the leadership change in the party and because the party had shown its determination to safeguard the interest of the Malays.
Ibrahim became an Umno member in 1981 but was sacked from the party for contesting as an independent candidate in the 2004 general election.
He likened Umno to a party which was unwell.
“However, it has found the medicine for its illness. The only thing is whether the party will take the medicine and take it according to the prescription,” he said

The ugly frog jumps again! It's not for you to decide which party you wish to join, imbecile! It's up to which party that wish to have you! PAS shouldn't have let him contest under their party in the 1st place. And if UMNO wish to accept him..then so much the better...cos he'll bring doom to the racist party!
Not only UMNO is unwell but Ibrahim Ali himself is sick. He can join UMNO but remember the seat he won was based on PAS ticket. If he still has any dignity left he should resign from the parliamentary seat so a frest election can be held to determine who the people of Pasir Mas really want.
By keeping his "options open" (as if people like him will have any options), he meant how much will be offered to him, just like the 3 Perak low lives, to sell out his soul and party. And imagine people like him talking of religion and all. As far as we are concerned, you can 'BERAMBUS" !!
