Three BN senators sworn in
Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA) vice-president, Datuk Donald Lim Siang Chia, was among three Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition leaders sworn in as Senator at Parliament this morning.
Lim, together with fellow MCA member Gan Ping Sien and People's Progessive Party (PPP) member Datuk Maglin Dennis D'cruz, were sworn in before Dewan Negara president Tan Sri Abu Zahar Ujang.
Lim, 55, appointed Deputy Finance Minister, accepted the position with an open heart and thanked Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak and MCA for the opportunity.
"I will try my level best to carry out the duties given to me in the next two years to come."
Gan, appointed Deputy Youth and Sports Minister, said he would take this opportunity to stay close to the younger generation to understand their concerns.
"I will use the appointment to chart the future of youth and sports programmes of the country."
D'cruz, appointed Deputy Information, Communications and Culture Minister, said his appointment was a significant stand for the PPP.
"This also reflects the Prime Minister's vision of a fair representation of the BN coalition in the Cabinet."

shame on the govt for making 'not the people choice' as Minister. Any candidate for ministership should be the one that was voted in by the rakyat and not the shortcut via senatorship. No wonder our parliment - senate & MP are filled by less intelligent people.
