Ong vs Chua war over – Ong not resigning and will stay on

Share
The crisis between Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat, the president and his former deputy Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek is as good as over after both of them announced that they will work together for the sake of unity in the party. Ong said that it is a ‘greater unity plan’ where Chua will work together with him without any pre-conditions and this has been conveyed to the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak who endorsed the move. In the press statement, Ong said “In the light of the present scenario, I will talk to the secretary-general about reviewing the call for an extraordinary general meeting,” he said, adding that it was time to “forgive and forget” and look at the bigger picture of what was good for the party. I will reach out to all leaders and strive to form an all inclusive MCA that will include all factions and personalities who can contribute as a team. With a unified MCA, the leaders can now refocus their attention on strengthening the party to regain the confidence and trust of the Chinese community and Malaysians in general,”

He also announced that he will not be resigning despite receiving the no-confidence vote in the EGM last week where he said “It is time to weigh between public trust and the personal pledge that I made earlier. I think, in the name of public trust, it is only fair if I, in my capacity as MCA president, endeavour to live up to the expectations of the people. We have an unfinished job. This is just the beginning. We need to put in our full commitment to make it work. (The interaction) is not affected or stopped. Maybe only without the knowledge of the media,”

" There is no choice! " , said Chua S L, " We have to hold hands! "

Well! They have to cooperate in order to continue their political careers at their respective height in Malaysian politics.

High positions and fat income will be ensured by BN government though hearts are not held like their hands.

One thing for sure, they have to shake hands, for fear they might lose everything if another party election is to be carried out.

Politicians in this bolehland have to be thick-skinned!
