Using Bank Negara to trace foreign funds for own political gain....this is totally abuse power .....Awang Adek: Bank Negara can trace foreign funds to sabotage Umno and BN

Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) can trace foreign funds channeled via non-governmental organisations (NGOs) to finance opposition efforts to sabotage Umno and Barisan Nasional (BN) in the next general election.

“We will tell the people so that they can pass judgment,” said Deputy Finance Minister Datuk Dr Awang Adek Hussin (picture) said after meeting 100 young ulama at Bachok Umno division office here today.

Perkasa information chief Ruslan Kassim claimed that the opposition had created a special fund to finance Umno and BN members to sabotage the party in the general election.

Awang Adek who is also deputy chairman of Kelantan Umno liaison said the country would come under foreign influence if the opposition was given the mandate.

He said if foreign funds threaten security or violate the country’s laws, action could be taken under the Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorism Financing Act 2001. — Bernama

Awang Adek has just confirmed that BNM is the main defensive tool for BN !! Hi, all staff of BNM, you must be ashamed on this statement, won't you ?? !!

And if PR wins the professionals in Bank Negara better prepare to go to jail for letting UMNO and BN and their cronies running wild and ignoring all rules and laws.

Why are foreign funds allegedly channeled foreign funds channeled via NGOs to "finance opposition efforts" labelled as "to sabotage" BN /UMNO?

Awang Adek, why don't you set a good precedent by establishing whether or not the RM40 million purported political donation to UMNO Sabah, is to be used to sabotage PR in Sabah ? If you do that, the credibility profile of UMNO/BN will be raised immeasurably.
