like father like son ....shameless....!!!
Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Aziz today suggested he was being targeted by accusations of conflict of interest involving the investigation of a RM40 million “political donation” for Sabah Umno, due to his worth to Barisan Nasional (BN).
“Don’t you think because I’m an asset, there’s an attack on me now?” Nazri said today.
“I must be very important, otherwise, why will they attack me?” the de facto law minister said.
Last Saturday, Utusan Malaysia reported Jaringan Melayu Malaysia (JMM)’s president Azwanddin Hamzah as saying that Nazri may become a political liability to the BN coalition.
Nazri dismissed Azwanddin's statement as irrelevant, saying that the "biggest organisation which reflects the thinking of Malays is Umno".
"I'll be very worried if the president of Umno, deputy president or secretary-general of Umno made such comments," Nazri, who is also an Umno supreme council member, said.
"But if it's a roadside politician form a roadside organisation, I don't think I need to be answerable," he said, saying that Azwanddin was a political "frog" who was formerly from PKR.
“We will never know whether I’m a liability or not until we go for elections...” Nazri said while challenging Azwanddin to contest in his Padang Rengas parliamentary seat.
Last week, the de facto law minister admitted to personally knowing timber trader Michael Chia ― the person at the centre of a murky RM40 million “donation” to Umno Sabah ― but denied any conflict of interest in his alleged defence of the man in Parliament as he had neither investigated nor cleared the man of corruption.
The minister had pointed out that he had been the one to answer questions in Parliament on Chia and the latter’s alleged links to Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Musa Aman as it was his duty as de facto law minister.
PKR’s Rafizi Ramli had argued that Nazri’s position as law minister posed a conflict of interest in the investigations by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Comission (MACC) as the agency falls under his purview.
But Nazri had said there was no conflict of interest in his son’s use of Chia’s Hummer luxury 4WD as he had not been the one who investigated or cleared the man.
Chia was recently cleared of graft allegations involving Musa after local and Hong Kong anti-graft authorities reportedly found that the RM40 million he was accused of attempting to smuggle to Malaysia was a “political donation” to Sabah Umno and not for Musa’s personal use.
According to previous reports, Chia was arrested in Hong Kong in 2008 for attempting to smuggle the cash back to Malaysia. At the time, he had reportedly told the Hong Kong authorities that the money was meant for Musa, alerting them to kick off investigations against both men.

Indeed you are an asset....for opposition party campaign...thanks bro
in case you don't know what asset means, please allow me to give you an example. You bought a decent car and used it frequently to do business and makes money for you, it is an asset to you. However, if you bought an expensive car but only use it for leisure and is always garaged, then it is a liability. So, sad to say you belong to the second category.
Ask the 28 millions Malaysian, whether you are an Asset or Liability? You will get the clear answer and no need for you to claim that you are an Asset. You are such an arrogant , egoistic minister and majority of the Malaysian can't wait to see you out from Putra Jaya. Since Rafizi brought this matter openly, why don't you contest him in this Mother of all election and see whether you are still as popular and in demand as you think you are.
