Utusan has to apologise
A notice of demand has been issued to publisher Utusan Malaysia (M) Bhd and its editor, asking for an apology and retraction for alleging Penang Chief minister Lim Guan Eng had misused and abused power.
The allegations apparently appeared in an article on Tuesday in the Malay daily over the carpark construction at Penang Hill, Bernama Online reported today.
If the demands are not met within the week then legal actions will follow against both parties said his legal counsel Jagdeep Singh Deo.
Jagdeep said that Lim categorically denied any abuse of power occurred in the reported matter, and felt the accusations were serious and defamed him.

No actions will be taken, or maybe just a 'letter of warning' by Hisham and that's about it. AG won't let the case get to the courts anyway.
Apologies are cheap and is double edged sword. Should sue for RM100 million, no better US$500 million. Let the truthful wins ..Sue Utusan and its Editor until they go bankcrupt.
