PKR loyalty pledge questionable, says Hishamuddin

Share

Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein (picture) said the pledge of loyalty taken by 12 Members of Parliament from the Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) in Petaling Jaya, Selangor today raises a question about the party, especially when several (PKR) elected representatives left the party recently.

The Umno vice-president, who is also the Home Minister, said the loyalty pledge showed that the party actually had problems to the extent that it had to force its elected representatives to take the pledge.

“Why must they go to such an extent? Maybe the people themselves can gauge the severity of the problems in the party where the people who are loyal are asked to take a pledge. Does it mean that those who don’t take the pledge are not loyal to the PKR?” he told reporters after chairing his ministry’s post-cabinet meeting, here today.

Hishammuddin, who is also surprised by the move made by the PKR Member of Parliament (MP) who resigned from the party, said however that the Barisan Nasional (BN) and Umno could not rely on the weaknesses of the opposition parties to win the trust of the people.

“The public out there is going to judge us not by the weakness of the opposition but the strength of BN and Umno. So it is incumbent on us to continue to deliver to the public,” he said.

The MP for Bagan Serai, Mohsin Fadzli Samsuri, 65, today announced that he was leaving the PKR and would become an independent MP with immediate effect.

Mohsin Fadzli is the third MP from the PKR to have left the party within a period of less than one month after the resignations by Datuk Seri Zahrain Mohamed Hashim (Bayan Baru) and Tan Tee Beng (Nibong Tebal).

Besides Mohsin Fadzli, Zahrain and Tan, former Penang deputy chief minister I, Mohammad Fairus Khairuddin, had also left the PKT

We do not trust what you say, Hisham! We do not trust whatever UMNO says, we will work harder as Malaysians to ensure we vote you out come the next GE! Peoples Power will see us through! After the end of the PKR Parliamentarians leaving, it is the turn of those from UMNO leaving! Those from East Malaysia, MCA, will leave. Just take care of your own before you start jumping in triumph! The Parliamentarians who left PKR today are like prostitutes, selling to the highest bidder! And UMNO/BN are those who are doing the bidding!

So Hishamuddin, what is the status of the Nasir Safar police reports ? Are you still investigating? We are not interested in your opinion of PKR matters when you don't seem able to do even your own job which includes prosecuting Nasir Safar. We have not forgotten, in case you were hoping we have.

PKR MP Loyalty pledge may be questionable, it is still better than the loyalty pledge of most BN MPs to the country where they are supposed to uphold the rule of law and betterment of the country. Instead, they only do most to line their own pockets.

Just look at the Imported Fish container fiasco, the Touch n Go smart card scheme (where they are reducing coverage hours for topup while good at scheming consumer) to name a couple.
PR MP can't do much of corruption. Those who think they can may have decided to 'frog' over to the lucrative side against the rakyat.

I think even if PKR MPs may be lesser, but at least we know they are for the rakyat. And the froggies, your career in politics are over. Hope you do get a big chunk from the useless chief pirates. We may catch up with you after the rakyat take over the government from the these 'pirates of the straits'.
